A Hawksbeard for #WildflowerHour. Specifically one which has self-sown into the cracks between the paving in my front yard. I suspect it's Beaked Hawksbeard because that what I had last year. The flowers are always closed in the morning and evening so today was the first time I saw them properly. Bulbous Buttercup has a very niche habitat around here - it grows in the bits of road verge where the daffodils are, but nowhere else. I exceeded #TheWinter10 by a long way on Friday while doing the #NewYearPlantHunt around Dawlish on the #Devon coast. 23 species in flower despite the cold weather, although a lot of those were garden escapes. The highlight was Rue, which isn't grown much in gardens so is extremely rare as a pavement plant. But there it was in full flower in a pavement beside a roadside flower bed.

We get lots of Trailing Bellfower in Swindon on the old walls, but this one caught my eye because it was growing from a wall at the Catholic/Baptist/URC church in #Wendover, #Buckinghamshire. Yes, that's an *extremely* rare set of denominations to be sharing a church building.
