Here they are a week later out in their pen. (But not yet running in the garden. It’s a slow process.)

Our local #rabbit rescue, Fat Fluffs (https://www.fatfluffs.com/), is also a sanctuary for buns that, for medical or behavioural reasons, cannot be rehomed. They live in a big garden on site and are cared for by staff and volunteers (including us when we wanted to learn how to look after our buns properly). But when a new rabbit is introduced to the pack they need to be properly bonded. This involves putting all the buns into as small a cage as possible so their scents can mix and a new hierarchy can be established without any chasing, fighting and biting.
They recently bonded 19 #rabbits. Which is both a crushing indictment on the pet rabbit breeding industry (please always adopt, don’t shop, and only get a rabbit if you know what you’re doing) and also the most fucking cute thing ever. I think La Muerte and Xibalba, like many residents of Greater Los Angeles, want to get into the movies because they are *super* camera aware. #rabbits

Over the last week some of us went out into the garden as it was nice weather.
There were lots of nice things to eat.
I, Houdinietta, ate some chamomile heads and strawberry leaves, while Willow ate some old dead leaves that had fallen off a crab apple tree.
She's a good friend, but she has no class <sigh> ....

"It wasn't me!"
OK, so I guess the mystery of the missing beet leaves and dill will remain unsolved. 🤷

Fuku the rabbit really dislikes his birdie baby brother so much that he excuses himself from breakfast whenever he flies in.

Cambridge bunny count personal best achieved last night on the way back from the Cambridge dance party. At least six bunnies in this photo and then they were an additional four to the right all enjoying a beautiful warm night chewing on the sweet grass. #cambridgema #bunnies #rabbits

Following up on today’s discussion about rabbitty pedicures ;) here’s a tip I learned a few years ago….
Use a piece of sturdy netting to keep your bunny’s foot fur out of the way while you trim their nails. In the States, bags made out of netting are commonly used to package heavy produce, such as onions or sweet potatoes. If you’re interested, but you live in a country which doesn’t use this stuff, let me know. I could mail you a piece 🤗 It’s great, especially for big furry squirmy buns!
Bramble and Benny both had their day of beauty this morning without any bloodshed. But I am glad they are not closely related to octopuses (or octopi). 🐾
