Moss the Forgotten Relic review: A squeaky clean port for the Switch 2
Porting Moss from Virtual Reality to traditional screens is not only nicely accomplished, but it's also a perfect next step for the franchise.

Despite the moss of my frog's garden immediately turned back green when I watered it after a week away, the Selaginella seems to have difficulties coming back to life. As it's supposed to be able to survive extreme dehydration I want to believe it's not dead, but as it wasn't really pleasant to look at I moved it to another container filled with water where it will become an experiment in resurrection. Instead, I've replaced it in the frog's garden with one of the young mannengusa from my successful culture in a highly humid semi closed container.
Wish it welcome in its new home ! -
Oregon Waterfalls
We hit the dusty trails and viewed some waterfalls that are in Oregon.
Prospect State Scenic Viewpoint is the park where you can find the first two pictured waterfalls, Mills Creek Falls and Barr Creek Falls. For the other waterfalls, they were all along Route 138, also known as the Highway of Waterfalls.
At the creek waterfalls, the trail is easy, but when you get to the Barr Creek viewing area, be careful because it is all boulders with small spaces to fit your feet into, and it would be easy to topple over, go over the cliff. I advise no young children or those with unsteady footing to go to Barr Creek Falls. There was more to the park to see, but we had a schedule to keep to.
Toketee Falls has a small parking lot, with an industrial tube spraying water everywhere. A way to cool off or to clean up a bit after the dusty trail.? The trail is narrow and you do walk along the river bank that is made up of boulders and trees. The viewpoint is built out from the mountain side like a deck. Apparently there is a log where some people like to jump off and see if they can get out of the water before going over the falls. There is a rope to help people navigate themselves down the steep side of the fenced-in viewpoint to go down to the river, if you want. I did not.
Whitehorse Falls was really pretty. It is just a small walk from the parking lot. There is a raised platform to view the waterfall, or you can carefully walk down towards the water. There are lots of boulders and down trees here. It is also another spot where people like to jump in to practice their cliff diving.
Clearwater Falls is another pretty waterfall. But there are so many down trees all over it. But it is also one of the reasons it is pretty, the logs become a home for moss, and moss is a pretty plant. The water is clear, you can see everything on the sandy bottom. If you want to experience more peace, walk up the side of the waterfall to the source of the waterfall. wow!
Watson Falls had the largest parking lot. It was a short trek into the woods to see the waterfall dropping from a cliff. We had been here once before in 2018. We had a longer walk in the woods and over a bridge then. The bridge was out of service this time. The wind was pushing the water from side to side. It would have made for an interesting long exposure, especially if there was more water volume. There is a narrow trail through the vegetation to get to the base of the waterfall. I did not go. Too many people. And there was a woman set up with her tripod, getting annoyed about people being in her shot.
Lemolo Falls was the longest hike for that day, after a sketchy drive down a dirt road. This waterfall has the smallest parking lot that we had been to, no more than three or four cars could fit. The trail is going down the side of the hill. Then you have to walk a “goat trail” in the plants along the river. And if you want to get closer to the waterfall, you’ll have to navigate a way on the soaked rocks. The sounds of the water was accompanied by a couple of songbirds. It was nice and peaceful there. But then you have to make the trek up the hill and to the dusty parking lot.

for the other one i sourced i could not find any technical data, but from what i observed, it must have very good u-value too:

#KnowledgeByte: Recent findings reveal that #Moss cushions transmit complex, neural-network-like electrical signals, offering exciting potential for sustainable #Biocomputing once further research validates their biological mechanisms.

This is pretty cool...!
Scientists Think One of Earth’s Simplest Organisms May Work like a Giant Brain
One of Earth’s oldest plants appears to pass electrical messages through its dense green mats.

"Here’s what you’ll learn when you read this story:
- While #moss form vital substrates that allow more complex plant and animal life to move into new ecological niches, the plants themselves are often seen as simple lifeforms.
- A new study complicates this picture with evidence of electrophysical communication in mats of #Brachythecium rutabulum, a rough-stalked feather moss found throughout Great Britain.
- Although future studies will be needed, this research shows that one of the oldest types of plant life on Earth may have a secret means of communication."Read more:
