Meine #Sinningia bullata treibt nach der Winterruhe besonders kräftig aus. Die weiße Wolle an den Stängeln und unter den Blättern ist fantastisch und niedlich.
Die Art wird 40 bis 50 cm hoch und blüht mit zahlreichen orangefarbenen, röhrenförmigen Blüten.
Die Aussaat von Sinningien ist nicht leicht, aber ab und zu findet man Sämlinge im Topf.

#Stapelia gigantea (?) ist eine #Sukkulente aus dem südlichen #Afrika.
Die #Blüte sieht aus, wie von einem anderen Stern. Nachteil: Die Blüte stinkt, damit lockt sie Fliegen an. Vorteil: Durch den Geruch bemerkt man immer, wenn sie blüht.
Ansonsten sind Stapelien anspruchslose #Pflanzen, die gerne draußen sind, wenn es frostfrei ist.

How it all began: the first succulent I ever got (I think) was this Kalanchoe tomentosa (月兎耳) from a local gardening center. I guess it’s been four years?

Two more kalanchoes: K. “Fushichō” (不死鳥) and K. crenatodaigremontianum (子宝草)

These weirdos grow babies on the tips of their leaves and are quite invasive in hospitable environments. I have to go in and chuck out the babies every once in a while or they definitely take over.

Another garden snapshot - the tender corner. Mostly filled with succulents that overwinter in the conservatory - Aeoniums, Aloes, Crassula, Echeveria and Pelargoniums. Some hardy Sempervivums and Sedums. The odd Agapanthus, Lily, Canna and Jasmine. Big Alocasia and Colocasia live in a water-filled Belfast sink and bucket! Just in view is the black summerhouse. More flowers soon but I like the leaf forms.
