I did some cooking this afternoon. During food prep, I had to move him from his favorite spot. He got anxious and kept trying to get back to the kitchen counter. Once I was done working with food items which I knew that he would try to stick his nose in, he was able to return to his spot and was happy.

So, I built a new peanut feeder, mounted on top of the eye-level stump that the camera bird feeder is on. I saw that some peanuts had been eaten, didn’t know if the ravens had found it, or smaller birds. How about, neither? #catsofmastodon

Somebody would like you to know that you will always lose the battle of wills and while he came looking for a treat, it's his divine right to turn his little nose up at said treat, acting like it's from outer space, and when he's rolled all over your keyboard and rubbed his face on your hands while you're trying to type something, he'll eventually go eat the treat which you put elsewhere because he, you know, reacted like it was from outer space.
(Dear reader, he just jumped down and is now eating his treat.)

#SissyCat and #MillieCat sleeping on the "sun" table together. It's been a long battle with these two since Millie was rescued from the shelter in April 2026 but we are close to the war being over. Usually, it was whoever was up there first bullied the other off. At one point, they both stretched their paws toward each other and was laying on their backs in the "safe" position with their bellies exposed! #CatsofMastodon
