Ich will doch nicht viel. Ich will einfach nur bei OpenStreetmap im Browser anmelden, ein Lesezeichen setzen, und es auf meinem Android in OSMand~ wieder abrufen können.
Ich tu alles, wirklich!! Ich installiere ein PlugIn für Nextcloud, ich make ein Github Projekt, ich hoste einen service auf meinem Pi, aber lasst mich doch bitte ENDLICH einen Anflug von Moderne mit OpernStreetMap erleben.

Question for OSM mappers
Just curious, I'm suggesting a new tag 'temporarely_seller' for people who sell only 1 or more days in the week. Like on a week-market.
This would map them as a 'Shop' on map services (like Lokjo) and -eventually- help them out economically.
The seller node would be connected to the (mapped) market with a tag 'market=polygon12345' or something similar, to query/show it only on the day the market is open.
Would you approve this idea?

Last Sunday, we collaborated with #OpenStreetMap Zambia for an online mapathon. 💻
They supported the mapping of Towsi-Libee roads 🛣, as part of our #mappingforpeace efforts in Somalia. 🇸🇴 The data generated will be used to provide peacekeepers with topographic #maps that will help them in their tactical and operational activities.

Very satisfying to do all that detailed mapping at an amenity that is about to be opened (I think). It would have been even better, if the #GoPro had recorded ANY GPS information at all and I could upload it as street-level imagery. Boundary relations are like middle children: they're probably not okay, and could use more attention than they're getting.
If you're coming to #SOTMUS2026, I would love to see you at my workshop! And if you're not, I'll be putting all the workshop materials online at some point anyway.

Sorry to #QGIS users having trouble loading #OpenStreetMap tiles from tile.openstreetmap.org. We've had to heavily rate-limit QGIS after bulk tile usage risked disrupting service for other users. We're working with the QGIS team to distinguish bulk requests from normal interactive use.

I just checked the numbers. This year (2026) we had over 20.000 changesets created by mapcomplete
You read that right. 20 thousand!
We've also crossed the 100.000 mark on the key 'panoramax', meaning that OSM has more then a hundred-thousand links into the #Panoramax-ecosystem. Most of them (but not all) made with #MapComplete

deck.gl-raster added a COG comparison slider example. Drag to compare two raster image sources, rendered entirely client-side with no backend needed. Useful pattern for before/after imagery or switching between datasets in a map UI.

This year's theme for #NationalHeritageWeek (all 32 counties) is "Heritage at Risk". If anyone feels like doing a little workshop about mapping place names, #benchmarks, sewer vents, jostle stones or anything else heritage and at risk, it would be much appreciated. I'll certainly do one about field names in my local library - will share details asap.

Manche anderen Regierungsbezirke finde ich aber nicht in der Suche der Kartenverwaltung, und Download wird mir beim Rauszoomen und Tip auf fehlende Region auch nicht angezeigt...

And speaking of discoveries, PRONI have added 8 of the potential monuments I discovered while mapping buildings in Northern Ireland to their database as well.
