#OSM #Overpass servers have been hit by a lot of abuse lately. I am doing my tiny part, released `overpass` 0.8.2 with help from `bradh` - see the OSM community forum: https://community.openstreetmap.org/t/overpass-api-performance-issues/140598/121

Ich will doch nicht viel. Ich will einfach nur bei OpenStreetmap im Browser anmelden, ein Lesezeichen setzen, und es auf meinem Android in OSMand~ wieder abrufen können.
Ich tu alles, wirklich!! Ich installiere ein PlugIn für Nextcloud, ich make ein Github Projekt, ich hoste einen service auf meinem Pi, aber lasst mich doch bitte ENDLICH einen Anflug von Moderne mit OpernStreetMap erleben.

Question for OSM mappers
Just curious, I'm suggesting a new tag 'temporarely_seller' for people who sell only 1 or more days in the week. Like on a week-market.
This would map them as a 'Shop' on map services (like Lokjo) and -eventually- help them out economically.
The seller node would be connected to the (mapped) market with a tag 'market=polygon12345' or something similar, to query/show it only on the day the market is open.
Would you approve this idea?

I've picked up Street Complete again and not only is it a super easy way to contribute a little good, it's also fun. It's an app that makes it simple to verify, fix and add OpenStreetMap data. Occasionally, I even learn something. Yesterday, it asked "can bikes be charged here, too?" and I didn't even know there were combined car and bike chargers. Also, the amount of detail OSM can save is stunning. There's lots of accessibility data, but also "this restaurant serves vegetarian food".

That way, when people use open source maps apps their results are more accurate!

OSM way IDs just passed 1.5 billion, the BCP 47 proposal for consistent Latin-script transliteration tags (name:<language>-Latn) closes voting today, and a federated FOSSGIS governance proposal is on the table.

Make a new tag that people can add to bus stops for faster / shorter route change, seeing such tags navigation in software can give'em bigger priority than inner build-in one
Why? Because today I build my way from one city to another on 2 buses (numb. 321 & 654), spend no needed 5-6 bus stops, cross walk side and realized I could change bus way long before that place (4-5 bus stops before)
