It was being kept outside in the shade, so only indirect light. We're in N TX == 100 degrees for the last several weeks. I believe she was watering it very frequently.
The last time I saw it was a couple months ago, and it was gorgeous.

Yesterday while I was watering the Hoya kerii I accidentally broke off a leaf. When life gives you leaves, make new plants.

2026 has been a year of big changes for me. I lost someone close to me, been #Pregnant every day of the year so far, started a new job, and will be moving into my new home in the next month or two. I'm looking forward to re-watching Twin Peeks with my husband in the newborn sleep-deprived trenches.

Hobbies at the top of my mind right now are writing to #PenPals, #Reading, #Journaling, #Knitting, and figuring out my ideal use of #ObsidianMD. I also enjoy all sorts of #Crafting such as #Crochet, #CrossStitch, #SlowStitching, #Mending, #NeedleFelting, and #BookBinding. I do a lot of the #Cooking and #Baking in my home since I don't have a commute outside of my cat tripping me on my way to and from my office. Other things I spend my time on include #TarotReading, #FountainPens, #DnD, #SoloRPG, #HousePlants, #CozyGames. I'm really looking forward to getting back to #WeightLifiting and my usual #Yoga.

I'm still a #Salesforce consultant, focused on not-for-profits. And, of course, I like ants.

Peperomia obtusifolia (often called a baby rubber plant).

The funny rattail-like growths are its flowers which drop off after a week or so.

I've got a large ficus in a pot that sits on top of a tray of rocks that I fill with water. The plant, uh, found a way and extended roots down into the tray.

Can I just cut them off, or should I leave them be?

Yesterday I noticed a little moss growing in a shady spot on the sunroom exterior, so I harvested a small piece and put it in with the pinguicula. It just looks cool .

so I'm going back at 10 pm on a Sunday to buy the entire rest of the clearance succulent rack.

Velvety Gynura Aurantiaca before I pinched off the blooms. The sparkly one is a Pinguicula Cyclosecta, and it actually digests bugs. I noticed that there was a tiny baby plant just forming at the base. #houseplants #carnivorousplants #insectivores
