Help me choose a new office plant!

I currently have a Maria Arrowhead Plant and a Black Raven ZZ Plant.

I think something taller would be nice, but I'm totally open to suggestions. Maybe a Parlor Palm?

Introducing Gibasis 'Europa'! The second of my four new Gibasis cultivars this year.

'Europa' has unusually-coloured leaves, which range from dark olive green to burgundy. In bright light they develop streaks of purple along the centre and edges of the leaves. The last picture shows the colour of a typical stem of Europa (centre) compared to 'Tahitian Bridal Veil' (left) and 'Purple Bridal Veil' (right).

'Europa', along with 'Io' and the other two coming up, will be available to buy for UK delivery soon!

New cultivar registration: Gibasis 'Io'!

I bred this myself last year. Its parents are G. pellucida 'Purple Bridal Veil', and G. 'Jose Puig'. I actually got a whole lot of seedlings from this pairing, with a huge amount of interesting variations. I'm registering four of them altogether, so keep an eye out for the other announcements soon! I'll also be selling all of them (for UK delivery only) this summer.

'Io' has medium green leaves which are quite similar to the common 'Tahitian Bridal Veil' at a glance. Except the edges of the leaves are distinctly wavy or crinkly, and the surfaces are less glossy. The last picture shows a comparison, with 'Io' on the left.

New cultivar registration: Tradescantia zebrina 'MaeVerde'!

The plant was discovered as a sport mutation from 'Flame Dance', by Rachel Diallo in Texas, USA. It has pure bright green leaves with no silver stripes and very little purple pigment.

The costs of hosting the Tradescantia Hub website have recently increased a lot. Maintaining any website in 2026 involves a constant arms race against AI scraping bots which exhaust the server's resources and make it slow and glitchy for human visitors.

My initial makeshift air plant set-up for the small and tiny plants left after buying a selection and giving away the biggest and nicest ones as gifts. Sadly, a couple of the tenderest have already suffered some loss through dehydration. As always, only the plants that can survive me will remain in my collection.

The idea is to pour distilled water into the plate to be absorbed and evaporated slowly by the terra cotta; I'll also mist with well water (and rain water when I can get it). Additional white holders printed by my partner will eventually raise some more plants and add interest.

- 'Frosted Blush' will become the official name for the type that's been known as "pink clone" or "white pink". Thanks to Monique Juellie for the name suggestion!

- 'Lilac Longleaf' will become the official name for the type that's been known as "pink lilac" or "tricolor". This was a surprise winner, after someone suggested it as a write-in entry and I added it to the list once the survey had started! - The two "pink dragons" will be keeping their fully-qualified names of 'US Pink Dragon' and 'European Pink Dragon'.

This is a cutting I replanted next week. I had to trim it a little for the roots to comfortably fit in the soil. I saved the parts I broke off and they started growing roots.

1/4 @TradescantiaHub @plants Bought a new #houseplant the other day, something I do rarely these days, but this was something I'd never seen before- at first glance I thought I thought it was a Sansevieria, but no + the tag said #Tradescantia spathacea Silver- which I'd never heard of till I realised that was the old Rhoeo sp.But I started digging more, since it didn't look right- leaf shape was diff, though that could be varietal--
