I currently have a Maria Arrowhead Plant and a Black Raven ZZ Plant.

I think something taller would be nice, but I'm totally open to suggestions. Maybe a Parlor Palm?

Moved 4 of my flamingo flower plants outdoors for Summer open air time.

#FlamingoFlower is good at absorbing airborne chemicals released by common cleaning products & general pollutants. It's particularly good at absorbing harmful chemicals like ammonia & formaldehyde from the air.

Be careful if you have cats who love houseplants because it's toxic to felines. Asher has no interest in any houseplants so we are quite lucky because most cats like to sniff/chew on houseplants. He avoids the houseplants & only likes his little cat grass pot. Don't keep these in your home if your cat is obsessed with plants.

Not that anybody asked, but my aloe plant made five babies. They all took root and have now been gifted to friends.

There’s something deeply rewarding about caring for plants and sharing the results of that care with others. Will definitely experiment more with propagating other plants.

My "Krinkle 8" Hoya plant in my office is blooming again. Because hoyas are pollinated by nocturnal moths, they tend to give off a powerful scent at night rather than by day. In the evening, my office fills with the scent of chocolate covered cherries, which (to my nose anyway) is exactly what the Krinkle8's blooms smell like.

The little #Haworthia was looking colourful- Haworthiopsis now, I haven't been that active in houseplants in recent years, so still not used to the 'new' names which aren't even that new anymore...lol Views backlit and front lit.

What's not in focus can be just as important as what *is* in focus in a photo! In this case I like the colours and shapes of the background- it might have been ideal to *not* have the pinky blur (another bud) to the right of the #flower, but it adds to the effect of the red-brown blur looking like an alien/sasquatch 😆 #photography #Macro #BeautyInTheDetails #ArtsyFartsy

A closeup of a bloom of my Hoya wayetii plant, showing the hanging droplets of nectar at peak time. At night it exudes the powerful scent I'd describe as apple cider vinegar mixed with caramel. Hoyas are pollinated by moths, so they tend to emit their fragrance at night. Each bloom umbel measures about 1.5 inches across and lasts for several days.

My upstairs office is filled with the scent of chocolate covered cherries... my Hoya carnosa "Krinkle 8" is blooming again, and its fragrance is delicious! More intense in the evenings, because hoya blooms are pollinated by nocturnal moths.

I potted this krinkle8 from two cuttings about 18 months ago. It has grown. Each thick green leaf has two rows of dimples, often 8 of them hence the common name. Those pompom blooms! 🙌

The ordinary becomes extraordinary under the right lighting conditions. I dropped everything to setup and paint this corner of the house. It was done in such a fury that I didn't even have a light on my setup, so I was left in the dark when the sun faded. Winter light moves fast but there's something extra intriguing about it.
