  6. Went on a walk along the local canal and found a Banded Demoiselle that kept returning to the same leaf over and over. The perfect location to eat snacks and flick out his wings for all to see...

  8. Last week, there were lots of very accommodating Banded Demoiselle #Damselflies, basking amongst the tall foliage beside a path, close to some ponds, a stream and canal.

    The male is metallic blue, with dark wing bands, the female is metallic green, with white wing spots, so they look quite different from each other.

    Standing quietly amongst them, allowed me to get some #CloseUp photos. One female even perched on my hand for a while :-)
