None of these are super active, but they do fit your criteria and are fun! :) Thank you for collating this list.

Made a friend today. #horses #wedsneigh

@JonBowie Everyone loves a buckskin. #Wedsneigh

It's #Wedsneigh fellow #Pleistocene fans.

Did you know that equids use their backwards shovel-shaped hooves to dig through ice and snow for grasses and other fodder? Most bovids (cows) will stand in a hayfield covered by six inches of snow and starve.

Without horses, I'm not sure we'd have made it through the last couple ice ages. Their nomadic foraging allowed other ungulates to follow and survive, and our ancestors to follow and hunt.

@Ruth_Mottram I'm LOVING listening to the audiobook via my library app. My only miniscule complaint aims at the narrator's habit of pronouncing climatic as climactic.

Editing to add that any book that opens with horses in the Pleistocene is speaking my language.

@firda #wedsneigh. That’s another hashtag I didn’t know I should be following

It's #WedsNeigh so here's a cute #horse we met in #Ireland earlier this year. After getting a lot of pats from the spousal unit, it got really possessive of him and wouldn't let the other horses go near him. A jealous type, that one was. #RedFlag

It’s the return of my mare’s glorious Lady Beard! I have a feeling this year’s will be epic. #Horses #HorsesOfMastodon #wedsneigh

Trail #dogs are the BEST!! This 3-year-old, named Walker, “led” our return horseback trip for 16+ miles through the #mountains last week in #Colorado, including over a pass (11,900’). He energetically and repeatedly went out-back from the trail in all directions throughout the trip checking out great smells. So much fun! #dog #DogsOfMastodon #Wedsneigh #horse #horses #HorsesOfMastodon #TrailRiding #hiking #backpacking #nature #NaturePhotography #landscape #photography #LandscapePhotography

🛠️It's late in the day for #Wedsneigh, but I'm going to post this anyway, because I haven't done one in a while, and also because I'm extremely proud of this run-in shed, which was built with about 70% "woman-power" labor (💪) by those of us in the neighborhood who were learning to DIY as we went.

As it’s now #Wedsneigh
Yesterday, I arrived home & was surprised to be met by Cutie (LB’s name for her). Cutie came to meet me instead of Blossom. Obvs Bloss’ watch was slow, as she suddenly appeared & trotted up ❤️

The farrier is here! What a big relief that he showed up on time with no rescheduling. Now I know that my big guy is taking care of for another 8 weeks.

Equestrians are a diverse bunch, and we’re really glad to see the new collection of riding wear from https://muirneen.com. They’re looking for models, too. Please boost! These are really cute tops (in a real range of sizes) even if you’re not a rider. #WedsNeigh #horsesofMastodon #diversity #horses #clothing

@FarhanaMTS Tagging with #Wedsneigh!

We often do things to our pets and domestic animals without asking first, because they need care of course! Grooming and fly spray, for instance, are important for the health of horses. Did you know that animals are quite good at communicating their consent to things if we take a little time to establish a way for them to tell us? Here Taz, our rescued feral mare, presses her muzzle gently into Meredith’s hand to say it’s ok to drag a brush through her long tangled mane. If Taz stops pressing, Meredith will stop brushing until Taz lets her know it’s ok to start again by pressing. Meredith took a little extra time to come to this agreement with Taz, using the behavior of face-touching which Taz already knew and liked. It pays off in trust and consent to something that might otherwise feel unpleasant and scary. #wedsneigh #horses #positiveReinforcement #animalCommunication
