  1. Here is our latest #article, DOI: doi.org/10.1111/1758-2229.70290.

We systematically collected literature, and used network component analysis to map microalgal axenisation methods and identify antibiotic-free workflows. We could identify clear workflows for diatoms and dinoflagellates, but other #microalgae groups were poorly represented or the methods were sparsely used. We further present practical experiences and opinions from culture banks.

  2. Yaay, new publication!
We use network component analysis to map microalgal axenisation methods and identify antibiotic-free workflows, with clear strategies for diatoms and dinoflagellates. The study highlights gaps in reporting and calls for stronger experimental validation.

  3. Harmful #algal blooms in #lakes and #reservoirs are explosions of cyanobacteria, often referred to as blue-green algae. #Microscopic #organisms ubiquitous in all types of water around the globe, cyanobacteria use sunlight to make their own food and in warm, nutrient-rich environments can quickly multiply
