The current state of my #california and #Baja #rock and #mineral collection cabinets. The two small cabinets don’t hold much, but most of the good stuff is here. I’m a little “San Diego” heavy in the cabinets, but I do have material all the way from Trinity County in the north to Santa Rosalia in the south. I include fossils, some of which are here.

Today is a #mineral day, as I welcome this new Little 3 mine piece into the #california collection. It’s classic L3, with a perfect smoky in the center, two perfectly terminated schorl tourmaline and a gorgeous spessartine garnet, all on a bed of clevelandite and microcline feldspars. The pyramidal terminations on the schorl are crazy good.
