An argument in favor of #astrology:
As a former obstetrics nurse, I know all the varying ways that birth can effect babies longterm. The first hour, what we call the "golden hour," can make a difference in longterm outcomes.

A baby born in the middle of the day will have lots of activity around it, more eyes on it, and even though many are reluctant to admit it, studies have shown that nursing care during the day is better. There's more staff on hand, people are more alert, and the staff is usually more experienced and educated.

Babies born at night have a much quieter experience. They get checked less, held less because parents need rest, and they might not get their first feeding and bath as quickly.

All of these varying experiences shape our personality from the moment of our birth. That is what most astrology is; assigning likely outcomes based on when a person was born.

Experiences in the first few months of life play a big part in personality development, psychologists have been telling us this for a long time.

Think about a summer baby in the temperate Northern Hemisphere. They will experience heat first. They'll probably wear less clothes, go outside less, be in water more, have more visitors, etc. Versus a winter baby, who will be constantly bundled up, have a quieter atmosphere, and probably have a little less visual color in their life because it's darker.

People eat different food at different times of year, and do different activities. If there's a big cultural event near their birth, that's a huge experience for a developing baby. Think about babies born during the beginning of the Covid pandemic and how much social interaction they got.

All of this shapes personality.

Now imagine people studied this phenomena, how birth location and time effect people in certain ways, and then developed it for thousands of years. That is astrology.

Sure, some of it is pop-psy pseudoscience, which is mostly the fault of capitalism. But I believe that there's parts of it that hold true. And after seeing so many babies born and grow up, and raising children myself, I'm convinced. Maybe the placement of the stars and planets don't effect us directly, but our placement in the universe does.
