Ahora anda por aquí Mochi, que es joven, incansable y una revolución constante, pero no viene a sustituir a nadie.Echo de menos tu tranquilidad, esa paz con la que te tumbabas a mi lado.
Contigo no hacía falta abrir la boca; con una simple mirada ya nos decíamos todo.Y todavía me pasa algo que me da un poco de pena: a veces llamo a Mochi «Leo».
Me sale sin pensar.
Suelto el nombre y, cuando me doy cuenta, ya he vuelto a aquellos once años contigo.
Mochi me mira con esa cara de «¿y ese quién es?», como si no entendiera por qué de repente tiene otro nombre.Supongo que mi cabeza todavía está acostumbrándose a que ya no estás.
Hay nombres que se quedan pegados a las rutinas, a los gestos, a la vida cotidiana.
El tuyo está demasiado unido a la mía como para desaparecer en cuatro meses.Mochi tiene su propio lugar.
Lo está construyendo a base de carreras, trastadas y esa energía que parece venir con pilas de repuesto.
Tú tienes el tuyo.
Y ese no lo ocupa nadie.Te sigo buscando a veces sin querer.
En el sofá.
En una esquina de la casa.
En ese momento en que mi cuerpo espera una presencia que ya no está.Cuatro meses y todavía te llamo por tu nombre.
Quizá porque once años no se borran. Se aprende a vivir con el hueco, pero no a olvidar a quien lo dejó.

@olaf What's interesting, though, is that there seems to be a point around 750 km out where the drag is significantly less and satellites can stay in space pretty much *indefinitely* once they run out of maneuvering fuel.

BUT... operators want to be closer to Earth for lower latency (and to connect directly to devices).

Last year, the U.S. Space Force issued alerts for nearly 820 objects entering the Earth’s atmosphere.
“Re-entries happen each and every day,” "Huge objects weighing a metric ton or more arrive about once a week" according the space collision experts.
While much of the debris incinerates in the atmosphere or splashes into the Pacific, but when it does not - it can land anywhere and on one can predict where.

Why does one guy (#Musk) get to pollute the sky for $$$, and risk civilization-wide chaos? Hi motto is Move fast and break things.
"A single crash could create cascading debris fields, wiping out the infrastructure of global GPS, communication, financial systems, and weather monitoring. Worst-case scenario, it could plunge civilization into chaos. Right now, SpaceX is essentially launching bullets into an orbital game of Russian roulette."
