We urgently need philosophy. The world has changed so radically—and will continue to do so—that traditional ways of thinking are no longer sufficient. From the billions of people deprived of their homelands to machines that act autonomously, we face challenges that we absolutely must solve and that cannot be grasped using our old categories. What does consciousness mean in a world of AI systems? What is life? What is #freedom, and so on?
