When #spacedebris #enters Earth's #atmosphere, it is difficult to #predict where the individual pieces will impact or whether they will burn up in the atmosphere. With larger objects, however, there could be a danger from the impact of connected fragments. Authors B. Fernando & C. Charalambous (2026) developed a #method to utilize the existing #seismicsensornetwork to obtain real-time information that can predict the direction of impact.

  6. Many published papers are reports on #large-scale results, with interesting conclusions and predictions but without any validation with specific reporters. If our large-scale data are unable to #predict what happens in an artificially-imagined situation they are useless.

  7. We live in a world where #artists #predict the #future through #writing, #painting, #singing, and #directing

We see possible futures that may happen, and we tell the world.

The world seems hellbent on choosing the wrong ones, with no intention of avoiding them.

What's worse is that some of those same artists, instead of leading, follow the world and do the same: nothing.

Why? Because it is too #inconvenient, not artistic to protest, etc. Protests are expression.

  8. One of the biggest mistakes is not adopting #agile.
But the biggest mistake of all is not applying #AgileCheese. 🚀
While agility helps you respond to change, #AgileCheese lets you #control it. With concepts like #VirtualMastermind and #PersonalityVirtualization, you don’t just adapt—you #predict , #shape , and #outmaneuver the future. Traditional #agile is a compass. AgileCheese is a time machine. Why react when you can dominate? 🧀🔥 #CheeseTheFuture

  9. I am so tired. My sleep is fucked for my course so I know I'll be tired AF, whatever times I sleep and wake, unless I get randomly lucky, which is possible.
It's annoying but otherwise fine. The DWP looms with their "make young people with symptoms work" bullshit, but the blade's not fallen yet.

With any luck, I can get work as an off-hours therapist. Like crisis lines, night shift standby, or similarly flaky clients who check my daily / weekly schedule forecast and call me up during my projected online-office hours.

#de-Appled and #de-iClouded their #Apple account. They don't want Apple to have access to their #data and share it with other #affiliated companies. They talk about their interest in #retro computers and how far back they can be used. They mention running Puppy Linux on a 386 processor. They discuss upgrading their operating system to Raspberry Pi and GNU-Debian. They mention the benefits of open-source systems and their dislike for commercial companies wanting to own user data. They talk about gaming on #Linux and the potential of virtual #reality and augmented reality systems. They #predict that initially, these systems are expensive, but eventually, they will become more #affordable and popular. They mention the younger generation being more open to adopting AI and new technology.

  28. I wish #manufacturers would stop referring to their product as #Smart, just because it is #Bluetooth enabled, and has a mobile app to control X functionality. That doesn't make it smart, if anything, it proves how #unintelligent the product is.

If it is truly "Smart", shouldn't it be able to
#predict, or #learn the preferences of it's owner on it's own (or with minimal input), rather than requiring the owner to tell it what to do?
