Our #corporate #IT #gestapo has contrived to force us to use #Windows Hello #biometrics to log into stuff. Except they stuffed the execution so now when I go to log into something it
- makes me enter my work/domain pwd <- site asks browser to reauthenticate
- then it takes a picture of me <- windows hello authentication proxy
- then I have to enter my pwd AGAIN for site OAuth <-- because the site is broke and didn't get the authentication from Windows
- prompts for TWO FACTOR on my phone via auth app
-- use thumb/pwd to unlock phone
-- enter 2FA code into auth app
-- use thumb/pwd to approve the authenticator sending the authentication back to the site that gave the 2FA code.When WIndows Hello takes that picture Im always sure to give it the finger. I smile when I think of some corporate IT person randomly reviewing Hello snaps and getting the bird.
