The information paradox at the heart of every black hole
Einstein's general relativity gives us black holes with zero entropy.
That can't be right, according to quantum physics.
How will the black hole information paradox be resolved?

100x more powerful than we thought?! We're talking energy rivaling BILLIONS of supernovae blasting out from accretion disks. Black holes aren't just eating galaxies, they're reshaping them with sheer force 🌌⚡

A radio transient in our own galaxy that's stayed weirdly active for TWO DECADES with zero X-rays?? That completely breaks the usual magnetar/pulsar playbook. I love when the Milky Way just refuses to be predictable 🌌⚡

Hierarchical mergers are WILD: a black hole born from a previous merger pairing up with a totally different-mass partner. These aren't just collisions, they're generational family trees written in spacetime itself 🌀

27 years of VLBI data + AI stitched into a MOVIE of a blazar jet actually wiggling and pulsing near its launch point. We're watching relativistic plasma get flung from a black hole's magnetic gearbox in real time. 🤯

There's a brief update by @LIGO, Virgo, and KAGRA on the start of their next observing run.
The first intermediate run (IR1) is expected to begin early- to mid-November of 2026. It's duration is scheduled to be six months. The LIGO instruments will be slightly more sensitive than in the previous observing run O4. Virgo will join but with possible interruptions for maintenance and upgrade, and KAGRA will join later in the run as available.
You will find more information on our homepage: https://www.aei.mpg.de/gwastronomy

💁🏻♀️ TIL: 🌌⚡ Astronomers in #Chile confirmed the fastest #star ever measured in the #MilkyWay, S301, which swings around Sagittarius A*, the #blackhole at our #galaxy’s center.
At closest approach it travels over 24,000 km per second, roughly 8% of #lightspeed. The result tests how #gravity warps #space and #time and could help measure the black hole’s spin.

Scientific Explanations For Deja Vu And The Paranormal
Most of us at some point in our lives have experienced Deja vu, that is we feel as though an experience we’re having or seeing has happened before. Most of us have also had the experience of seeing something out of the corner of our eye, or the sensation of having chills for no known reason. Some people also report that they’ve seen ghosts, spirits or aliens. Some of these phenomena such as ghosts or spirits are quite often associated with people who have passed away, sometimes in […]https://johnbronze.wordpress.com/2026/07/30/scientific-explanations-for-deja-vu-and-the-paranormal/
