Here's the thing about nuclear: it's too late to use it as a low-carbon alternative to coal, oil, and gas. If we were going to use it that way, we should have started doing that in the 80s and 90s. Now, we've basically already hit 1.5C of warming, which means that we can't count on the environment to be stable enough for reactors to function.
