So, Uber asked me if removing UberX (the standard option) would make me sad. They wanted to know if I'd choose a different option or leave the platform entirely.
In all honesty, that would allow only the newer, eco-friendly vehicles to run around, so that's something. The prices aren't any higher, especially if you choose the wait&save option.
The downside, from what I've noticed, is that (all???) EVs have ad displays in the back. Look, I want to do my part and reduce CO₂ emissions, but I absolutely detest ads. Plus, I'm paying for my ride. At least make them free, you know, like those awful mobile games that people play in the bathroom.

Instead of condemning them for what they really are -- death machines on wheels -- the auto and oil industries have elevated ice cars to status symbol, to be desired, to be worshipped. And everyone fell for it. Well, not everyone, of course.
The sad part is that it's actually everyone, entire countries paying the price for the diabolical existence of ice cars.

The fact that it's compatible with existing diesel engines makes HVO a really good fuel alternative that's set to improve air quality and reduce CO2 emissions.
