  1. I've accumulated quite the credits at Recyclingfabrik without ever sending filament in. Too bad it expires in a few months because they changed their "reward points never expire" policy when they changed their reward system. Sad reminder that companies with sustainable products are still capitalist companies. There's some other changes, too, and the message overall is that people like me will not benefit or might even pay (a little) extra to have their filament recycled.

  12. 💁🏻‍♀️ TIL: ♻️🔥 #Chemical engineers at the University of #Surrey made a proof-of-concept #plastic that turns to gas at about 90º C and reassembles into a solid as it cools.

A #London-based lab demonstrated the polymer’s reversible behavior by coating paper and then heating the coating away. The team frames the material not as a fix for #pollution but as a step toward more recyclable plastics.

#solarpunk we think a lot about low waste and #recycling but animals are rarely brought into the conversation as independent agents of waste reduction

The more people that adopt a couple ducks or a goose in the city is the population of people in the city with a fertilizer store that doesn't rely on big oil

Ducks were a growing trend until we industrialized #animal meat. For good reason!
