Windows 10, I have a directory where OBX Studio saves its screencap videos. There are 813 videos in it now - clips. The windows View is set to Detail and its listed in reverse chronological date order.
Every time I open this directory lately, I see a vid from 2023 at the top (a couple hundred more recent videos not listed) and Windows performs this index or some such -- the green bar slowly marches across the path / breadcrumb bar in the window, taking about 3-5 minutes to finish. Only at the end of this do I see the latest videos at the top.
Every time I open this window. After reboots, etc. Every time.
Is Windows 10 not able to handle a directory with 813 items in it all at once without reindexing or whatever it's doing? Is there a way to shortcut this, other than deleting some of the videos?
System is a Ryzen 7 7700X 4.5GHz, 32GB RAM, and the "disk" is an SSD. Thanks.
