А начинался он с одинокой дикарки Лабао, на которой я начал обкатывать систему прямого управления. Добыча ресурсов и еды далась без проблем. "Исследования" проходили медленно, но верно, была поставлена задача на разблокировку охоты (открытие задачи для НИПов + пункт разделки).
Все испортил кролик, сделавший кусь в глаз и в плечо. Кровотечение заткнуть не удалось, ибо бэкграунд Wretched child ставит блок на задачи доктора (в т.ч. критически важное для соло-рана самолечение, этого я не предусмотрел). Контрольный тычок осуществила залетевшая бешеная сойка. ==>

Итак, по поводу внезапно всплывших постов по #RimWorld.
Всё-таки потянуло меня на протыкать великий и ужасный Progression Modpack - сборную солянку, собранную и сваренную вокруг концепции эволюции человечества - от животного образа жизни до межгалактических цивилизаций.
Вторые впечатления (о первых я уже писал ранее):
- 30 минут (!) на загрузку игры до главного меню - это данность, которую я до сих пор не могу переварить. Хорошо, хоть после загрузки все процессы идут более-менее шустро.
- Старт с "животной" эпохи крайне ограниченный. Работы по строительству, охоте и пр. закрыты за "основаниями" - исследованиями, очки для которых следует выбивать за счёт сборов у костра. А до тех пор - только собирательство, только удовлетворение базовых потребностей. В принципе логично, но все равно запарно.
- У ручного управления (мод Perspective Shift) множество нюансов, но в целом разобраться удалось. Очень хорошо легло на соло-ран, посмотрим, как он будет стыковаться с группой.==>

I know my daughter doesn't like it when I compare #RimWorld to The Sims, but I honestly do think they come from the same place for each of us where we want to tell cozy little stories about families ... mine just tend to be more sci-fi and have more regular bouts of violence and death. Other than that, we like watching our little people wander around the screen and do things we don't expect, then nudge them back into line.

My Rimworld story:
I had developed a decent base with 12 colonists and fought off several raids and survived some rabid boomrats. Then there was a huge raid, and they defeated and kidnapped *all* of my "shooter" colonists. I was left with 5 non-combat colonists and one with moderate melee skills. Managed to capture/convert two more to have some more defensive capabilities, and then... rabbits. There were *so many rabid rabbits* (Scaria). They killed everyone left. Sigh.
