🐝🎂 Scientists at the Natural #History Museum in #London named a new genus and species of parasitic #wasp to honor Sir #DavidAttenborough for his 100th birthday.
The specimen was collected in #Chile in 1983 and remained in a #museum collection for over 40 years before its unique traits were identified. The wasp is about 3.5 mm long and has a T-shaped mark on its abdomen.
