Rural road deaths increasing
"A new report has identified an increasing number of fatal crashes on rural and regional roads".
"An analysis by the Australian Road Safety Foundation (ARSF) found 906 people died on roads outside the capital cities in 2025, a 10.5 per cent increase on 2024. The ARSF understands this to be the highest number of regional fatalities since 2020."

First they put e-bikes on the market, then it is a long wait for regulation of illegal high-powered 'motorbikes' on shared pathways and beaches.There has been "...alleged antisocial and criminal behaviour involving a group of youths riding e-bikes in the Moonee and North Sapphire Beach areas."

Koala dies after allegedly being dragged behind vehicle down a street
"A rope was tied around the animal's neck and the other end was looped around a vehicle's tow ball, before the animal was dragged along the road."
"There was blood and fur along the road where it got dragged. It was gurgling blood and had deep abrasions over a lot of its body."
"Volunteer vets were forced to euthanise the animal after it suffered injuries, including deep abrasions and a fractured jaw."

I'd like to nominate for the #Darwin award the 200 or so #motorists who tonight drove past (nearly over) a #motorcyclist who was lying on the ground after a serious #roadaccident on #TulseHill #London. Clearly no fucks given about human life, they just beeped and drove round over the pavement, with debris everywhere, cos the guy dared delay their journey. I had heard the horrible noise of crushed metal but thought no one had been injured from the way #cars were driving thereafter. I was wrong.
