This morning on RN he claimed the global fuel shortage was all Labor's fault, because they were not approving enough oil exploration licences in Australia. When asked if a successful exploration would take 10–15 years to produce any oil he dodged the question. He seems unaware of the TrumPutin wars and their global oil price shocks. I looked it up so you don't have to, and Australia has indeed reduced the areas available for exploration. Still, there were seven approvals in a recent year. NSW slashed the application fee by 98% from $50,000 down to $1,000, but... "Zero recent oil exploration licences issued in Australia have successfully transitioned into commercial oil production."
