The offender had already removed his #insurance tracker from the #car and was deliberately picking rural #roads rather than highways to speed on (highways often have speed cameras and a greater #Police presence), which was what led to his undoing (its always a bad idea to hoon it at night during poor weather conditions!)
Unfortunately that area is car-dependent so a lad like that with his first car is often popular with friends, until things go pear-shaped
This is being used as another call for the #GraduatedDrivingLicence (already a thing in many Commonwealth countries), which may be beneficial but would have to be introduced carefully to avoid penalising young and new drivers working in health/social care (who often need to drive late at night and carry passengers)
