  2. I Viaggiatori ... The Travelers ... or Les Voyageurs

    A series of sculptures by Moroccan born French artist Bruno Catalano. The central part of each statue is missing representing the losses experienced by immigrants. Each also carries a bag representing the burden they carry with them in their search for a better future. In all, fhere are about 30 statues that exhibited in subsets of 5 to 10 pieces at a time.

    French sculptor Sophie Prestigiacomo created a series of swamp creatures, Installed in the wetlands of the Séné Nature Reserve in Brittany, France. The sculptures, first made in 2012, are made with a metal frame covered only with mud + the seaweed which has a resemblance to skin after it dries. The sculptures change with the weather + with their temporary nature will return to the earth from whence they came , over time ...
