Wow - apparently *none* of the #Gardaí are #pursuit trained to same standards as officers in GB / NI (or other European countries).
How even can a country operate like that?
Folk will be constantly at the mercy of reckless drivers or outright criminals / sociopaths. I have also seen quite a few Irish tooters over the years pointing this out
Sorting this out won't be an easy task - #roads in GB were quite lawless until things got cleaned up starting around late 1990s,. #CarCulture is strong, stubborn and resilient, and older #motorists still resent limitations of their "freedom" and many vote for parties such as Reform / Restore out of spite..

It's a Tuesday, so #bully #bigot #EnochBurke was in the #HighCourt, getting manners put on him by #MrJusticeCregan. 👏
#BurkeFamily removed by #Gardai before hearing began. #EnoughAlready; #Cregan gives them no more chances.👏
Enoch was on video link from prison, but his microphone was cut when he shouted. #EnoughIsEnough. Cregan dismissed Burke's allegations. 👏

Should all Gardaí be armed as the police forces in other countries are? When they were established DURING THE CIVIL WAR, Michael Staines, the first commissioner, said they would not be armed because: 'The Garda Síochána will succeed not by force of arms or numbers, but on their moral authority as servants of the people.' And they did. Think about the courage and wisdom of that decision in a time when armed rebels still controlled parts of the country.
