  4. Auto ads sell a mythical world of open roads and all the speed the vehicle can produce. But we don't allow cigarette ads any more because we know smoking causes cancer.     Me [inside voice]: When did it become okay to laugh at the implied violence of hitting someone with your vehicle because you wouldn't slow down when it's unsafe to drive that fast?
    Me [rethinking what I said]: I needed to appeal to positive traffic safety culture, maybe point out that most people think of themselves as "good drivers" and wouldn't want to drive in a way that might kill someone.
