The goal was to come up with some practical guidance about bike safety riding in traffic. They found that cyclists who ran stop signs and lights were actually generally safer overall. Folks who tried to obey the car traffic laws had more unexpected stops / accidents at intersections.

Wow - apparently *none* of the #Gardaí are #pursuit trained to same standards as officers in GB / NI (or other European countries).

How even can a country operate like that?

Folk will be constantly at the mercy of reckless drivers or outright criminals / sociopaths. I have also seen quite a few Irish tooters over the years pointing this out

Sorting this out won't be an easy task - #roads in GB were quite lawless until things got cleaned up starting around late 1990s,. #CarCulture is strong, stubborn and resilient, and older #motorists still resent limitations of their "freedom" and many vote for parties such as Reform / Restore out of spite..

Dann müsst Ihr nur den bzw. die Fahrer/in dieses Autos suchen.

Das Auto stand da btw. den ganzen Tag, steht möglicherweise immer noch dort. Doch dem Ordnungsamt das an sich für so was zuständig ist, ist das in Heidelberg seit Jahrzehnten scheiß egal. Da müsste man die Autos erst mal operativ aus den Köpfen der Leute entfernen!
