Question: Is it illegal to make the left turn depicted in the attached picture - from Lamont onto Scott, near the intersection with Coventry -- so that the turning vehicle must cross the pavement striping bordered by double-yellow lines on each side?
I cannot find anything in the Georgia traffic law. Nothing about turning across striping or double yellow lines. Some other states may have laws about this -- for instance the CA traffic law states that two pairs of double yellow lines are to be treated as a barrier.

Whilst driving to work heard earlier #RDS automatic #traffic news announcement - except it mentioned amongst other things "file op de A13" - which as I was concentrating on #driving I misheard as A14, then wondered "why is this announcement in Dutch anyway? I wasn't headed to Rotterdam either"

My motto is: **"I'll give you my [car keys] when you pry [them} from my cold, dead hands."**
I've been driving &/or riding motorcycles since I was 15.5 years old, which is exactly 60 years ago, & driving is both a necessity & a form of recreation to me.
I still have the necessary vision & reflexes to drive and I drive fast (faster than most people would approve) but I haven't had an accident for over 20 years.
I know that there will be some point at which it will not be safe for me to drive & when I'll have to give my car keys but that time has not come yet & hopefully never will before I die.
BTW, it's amusing to me that a driver mentioned in the article gave up his Lyriq (the car that I just bought) because he kept hitting things in it.
I haven't hit anything in mine yet. 😉

It is rare for families of both #victims and #offender to fully co-operate with a #crime documentary, but this is exactly what has happened following this fatal #collision in #Durham NE #England
Whole #documentary is on Durham #constabulary YouTube - even I found tihs difficult to watch in spite of having regularly viewed stuff like this for 40 years - maybe because whole incident was completely avoidable.
I noticed offenders mum was that distraught she incriminated her own son at #RTC scene, even telling #officers she had warned him previously about his standard of #driving - it does beg the question "where is dad?" are they even still together, or did they become estranged because dad was equally a bad driver and didn't set a good example?

Managed to accidentally hose #TomTom app with an update a few nights ago (there may have been a bug in latest version), so reluctantly tried out #GoogleMaps on #AndroidAuto
Privacy issues aside, its barely usable - #UI is cluttered, #speed indicators hard to see, no beep or other noise if you go over limit and its quite frankly not even that safe to look at when #driving
#TomTom app is now fixed, way better and worth the £20 for the years subscription
