  2. #Beach #Rock & #Sand #Sculptures by #JohnForeman

I am fascinated by these! Many of them remind me of #Mandalas, in the #Buddhist tradition "As a meditation on impermanence, after days or weeks of creating the intricate pattern of a sand mandala, the sand is brushed together into a pile and spilled into a body of running water to spread the blessings of the mandala."

  3. Helping Hands (8 Photos)

Look down. Look up. Sometimes the city literally reaches out to grab you. We’re talking giant hands breaking through the concrete, wrapping around trees, or holding pure fire. Artists around the globe are obsessed with this shape. Why? Because hands don’t need words. They protect. They lift. They connect. These aren’t just quiet sculptures or flat paintings. These are massive urban takeovers that make you stop, stare, and feel something real. From tiny hidden stick figures to colossal […]

From playful illusions in Milan and Buenos Aires to an octopus rising in Limerick and carved cubes by the sea in the Netherlands. This update brings clever object makeovers, surreal sculptures from Norway, and small imaginative touches that change how the city feels. More: Art Shouldn’t Be Just for Galleries (10 Photos) 🎨 1. 6. Haunting Ghost Sculptures! (12 Photos)

Perched above Lake Como, the Castle of Vezio (Varenna) hosts an ever-changing display of ghostly figures—life-sized sculptures that seem to linger between worlds. Each summer, visitors craft these eerie forms from gauze and chalk, leaving behind spectral guardians that silently watch over the lake. As autumn fades to winter, the elements reclaim these fragile apparitions, ensuring that no two seasons look the same. This ephemeral tradition transforms the medieval ruins into a hauntingly […]

  7. What a fabulous day we’ve had. Did most of the Yindyamarra Sculpture Walk in Albury which was about 5-6km all up, not huge but definitely enough. My NZ friend absolutely loved it all & so did I, such a lovely area in the wetlands. No wallaby’s today but plenty of bird life. Then off to the Lavington mall where my friend was looking for something specific & that’s where we ended up having lunch & coffee. Back into Albury & a visit to a local op shop where another friend works & I actually found 3 lovely winter tops & a pair of trousers & was charged less than was marked 😃 which was very nice. Lifeline Albury is a fantastic op shop if you’re ever down this way. Didn’t get home until mid afternoon & am feeling just a little tired, but it’s been a great day.

Sitting with Grace is a sculpture project done in #collaboration, #OurPlaceSociety, #HausOfOwl creator, Ross Whelan and people in the #StreetCommunities in Victoria, BC. You can read more about the project and sculpture on #VictoriaBuzz :
