I skimmed over health as it’s own #privilege because it is a lot more involved than I could possible do justice to here. Suffice to say, simply being healthy is a privilege.
And you will notice that I don’t simply say that living in a place where something exists is a privilege. That’s because it #existing is not the privilege. People having #access to it is the privilege in many cases.
Having a school in a town is not a privilege if no one can afford to attend it. Having a healthcare system is not a privilege if access to that system is restricted by red tape and financial considerations.
And many of the things we consider privileges should actually be #rights that every single person on the planet has access to, regardless of any other contributing factor.
So mind your privilege. And use it well.
