    >> “If #Democrats hold back from #SCOTUS reform for the sake of maintaining norms, they will be maintaining something that no longer serves its purpose.”

Time for doing this was Jan 2021 after #Trump's #Jan6 coup attempt. What better time to assume emergency powers to protect #US from ALL enemies, domestic & foreign?

NOTHING that is currently happening in the #UnitedStates would be possible without the #complicity and #connivance of the #DemocraticParty and #EstablishmentDemocrats.

  2. ⬆️ >> #Billionaire #DavidEllison threatens to move #Paramount / #Warner out of #California and relocate to a red state like #Texas, #Tennessee, or #Georgia to save an additional $0.5 billion in taxes…

#Ellison has been calling establishment dems & top DONORS, to convince #CA AG to negotiate. Gov #GavinNewsom prefers a settlement.

NOTHING that is currently happening in the #UnitedStates would be possible without the #complicity and #connivance of the #DemocraticParty and #EstablishmentDemocrats.

  3. #Texas #Democratic Senate nominee #JamesTalarico hits the nail on the head.

#Talarico pretty much sums up what ails America — the capture of BOTH parties by #billionaires and the complicity of BOTH political parties in pursuit of #bipartisanGrift at the expense of 99% of Americans. #CitizensUnited

NOTHING that is currently happening in the #UnitedStates would be possible without the #complicity and #connivance of the #DemocraticParty and #EstablishmentDemocrats.

Such as Julian Epstein, former chief minority counsel to the House Judiciary Committee.

Expect more of this in the months to come.

  6. What do you mean "Third Way Democrats"??

Mussolini called #fascism: "The Third Way"

With a significant part of MAGA being deeply nazi-pilled, you think they don't know that??

Or, do they know that they know, and are actually nazi-signalling to potential new voters seeking escape the sinking Trump-boat: "Hey, we're in on the fascist shit too, but we hide it better than them. Hop aboard! 🤫 "

Call me paranoid, but bought big business politicians always love fascism.

  8. Insurgent Candidate Victories Highlight Growing Movement Against #Corporate & #Elite Power: #JohnNichols

    #DemocracyNow, August 05, 2026

Excerpt: "AMY GOODMAN: And let’s go to #WilliamLawrence of the #SunriseMovement

    JOHN NICHOLS: Yeah.

AMY GOODMAN: — who we just mentioned, who won his primary, a co-founder of the Sunrise Movement, defeated two opponents to win the Democratic House primary in Michigan’s 7th District, focusing partly on what you just mentioned: #AIDatacenters . This is one of his ads.

' WILLIAM LAWRENCE: I’m #WillLawrence. And #TechBillionaires want to turn this whole field into a massive #datacenter that’ll jack up our energy bills and ruin our home values.

RANDY: They put that in, it’s going to plummet the values. It’s an existential threat.

WILLIAM LAWRENCE: I’m running for U.S. Congress because I’ve been afraid to stand up to corporate power. I’m backed by #BernieSanders, and I don’t take a dime from #CorporatePACs . '

ANJALI KAMAT: And in Michigan’s 13th Congressional District, #DonavanMcKinney, a member of the Democratic Socialists of America, has a narrow lead over Congressman Shri Thanedar. This is a part of one of McKinney’s ads.

' DONAVAN McKINNEY: #ShriThanedar and the same #billionaires supporting #DonaldTrump are spending millions lying to you. They know that in Congress, Shri fights for them. I will fight for us — lower costs, higher wages, #MedicareForAll . '

ANJALI KAMAT: #AbbasAlawieh also won the Democratic primary for a seat in the Michigan state Senate. He was a co-founder of the #UncommittedMovement, which pushed for President Biden, and then Kamala Harris, to end U.S. support for Israel’s #WarOnGaza. This is Abbas speaking outside the DNC, the Democratic National Convention, in 2024, where the Uncommitted Movement pushed to include a #Palestinian voice at the convention.

'ABBAS ALAWIEH: Here is the scandal, my friends. Here is the scandal. The scandal is that there are forces within #DemocraticParty leadership who do not want us to talk about #Palestinian #HumanRights. But that’s not sustainable. This is a watershed moment. '

ANJALI KAMAT: John Nichols, can you talk about some of these other key races in Michigan and other states where progressives were challenging more establishment candidates, and just what you think is most important as a takeaway from yesterday’s primaries?

JOHN NICHOLS: I sure can. I’m delighted to do it, because the fact of the matter is that our national media too often focuses on the top-line races and misses the real dynamic, which you start to recognize is when you go down-ballot and you look at contests for U.S. House seats and for legislative seats.

And if you look in Michigan, what you’re seeing is, with Will Lawrence, an example of a real breakthrough win for a young candidate who ran a campaign on dynamic, fresh issues, including data centers. With #DonavanMcKinney, that’s still a close race. There are votes still to be counted there. But this is an incredible thing, because this is a candidate who didn’t have anywhere near the kind of money that his opponent did, and yet, with a real grassroots campaign on the ground there in Detroit and that region, ran very, very well.

And if we move beyond Michigan and you look around the country, what you’re going to see is that Tuesday night was a very good night for insurgent candidacies and for outsiders. In the #Missouri governor’s race, what you saw was kind of a remarkable result. #CindyHolscher, who’s a state senator out there and came from the outside — she wasn’t backed by the sitting governor, she wasn’t backed by a lot of Democratic Party leaders, and yet she won her primary for governor. And she did it by talking, again, about data centers and making that a very central part of her campaign. We’re starting to see a thread here. "

  10. ⬆️ #Israel is not #UnitedStates and #Jewish Community is not Israel.

John #Fetterman is unyieldingly willing and ready to throw his OWN country and his OWN party under the bus in Israel's support.

NOTHING that is currently happening in the #UnitedStates would be possible without the #complicity and #connivance of the #DemocraticParty and #EstablishmentDemocrats.

Instead of asking #DemocraticSocialists to start a new #DSA Party, why doesn't he start his own #Establishment Party?

  11. John Fetterman Punched Us in the Mouth

On May 10, 2022, I published an article on this page under the headline "John Fetterman Will Punch You in the Mouth!" I meant it as tribute. I called him "what a Democrat used to be," a man "of the land, against the elite power, for the common good," and I welcomed him into my invented fraternity of "Big Uglies," the large, plain, unpressed men who do the country's heavy carrying. The year before, on my Human Meme podcast, in an episode called "The Great White Bridge as Throughline," I had floated him as a future Democratic President, with Keisha Lance Bottoms standing as his second. I believed the hoodie. I believed the shorts, the goatee, the 6'8" frame, the tattooed forearms, the whole costume of the steel-town avenger who, I assured you, "suffers no fools." Four years later I am here to take it back, in public, at length, because the recantation is owed, and because the autopsy of my error teaches more than the error did. […]

  13. ⬆️ >> There's a lesson that #DNC & #DemocraticParty can learn from #Brexit votes 10 years apart. It's the younger generation that you need to seek and cultivate.

There's also a lesson #EMUK campaigning to #RejoinEU can learn from the resurgent #Confederates in the #UnitedStates.

Looking to the future and shedding the past, it says “We’re going to stop using the word Brexit. It’s associated with stress, drama and division."

Not confronting the past is not the solution

Which is why we need progressives, and I mean real progressives.

What is not a real progressive is the person who claims to be one during an election cycle, yet lacks a history of progressive values, morals, and applied ethics going back years. We do not need those people who claim to have "seen the light" just because they now want your vote.

We want someone who acts as a progressive would, applies principles, and does things as a progressive should, rather than offering just empty, meaningless talk. We want someone with an established record going back years, even if it is just a personal history rooted in their day-to-day life. We want someone who knows the cost of milk, truly understands the cost of living and the way of life of their fellow Americans, and was never "above it all."

Look at New York's mayor, Zohran Mamdani, or New York's congresswoman, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, as leading examples of what a real progressive is.

You're right. Moderate centrists are complicit — they always have been.

It is why many people feel they're no different from Republicans. A moderate centrist will tell you that unity is more important than change or accountability. It's why our country keeps inching toward a conservative view. The moderate centrist never truly rolls back the harm done; instead, they hold things in place until you get used to the awful new normal.

If we're serious about change, accountability, and undoing the damage done, we need real progressive leadership. The excuse of unity at the expense of accountability and change has kept us in a hostage situation, and it is time to break free!

If accepted as a delegate, #Isaacson, a 72-year-old #Jewish #Portland resident, would have joined 601 Maine #Democrats at the party’s convention in #Bangor to select a replacement for #GrahamPlatner, the staunch #Israel critic who bowed out of the race earlier this month following #sexualassault allegations, which he has denied.

Instead, Isaacson sat it out, vowing not to have anything to do with the party that had chosen #Platner as its nominee in the first place.

“I thought it wasn’t worth my time, to be honest with you,” Isaacson told the Jewish Telegraphic Agency. “I mean, we’ve been blindsided by the #Democratic Party here and nationally, and I’ve been a #Democrat my whole life.”

So six Democratic congresscritters crossed the aisle to pass the latest defence spending bill - not that unusual, given their swing districts and being up for election - but they did so with the "SAVE" act attached to it.

Apparently, they have all the self-preservation instinct of the mythical #lemmings from Mutual of Omaha's Wild Fabrication. Because the entire point of the #SAVE act is to disenfranchise as many Democratic-leaning voters as possible. This isn't speculation; it's easy to read in the measures that it calls for, but more than that, #Trump has explicitly described it that way over the last few months.

The #Democrats frequently do not need the #GOP to ratf*ck them [1]; as here, they're quite capable of doing it to themselves.

Everyone who cares about preserving #US democracy, such as it is, needs to yell at their #senators to ensure this monstrosity doesn't pass in the Senate. There's been lots of talk of it not having the votes there, but that was said about other things that (eventually) got passed as well.

[1] Don't blame me for the language. A US president brought the term into wide use.

Show joy that you are doing it! #DemocraticParty establishment feel free to write me a seven-figure check for this wisdom. Oh, wait, you're broke.
