Chris Mathias has a detailed article up about Marshall Rawson, the Republican candidate for the Florida House of Representatives seat in (iirc) district 10. Rawson is expected to win that seat because it's a solidly Republican district.

Rawson attended the Unite the Right rally (UTR) in Charlottesville, VA, in 2017 as an active member of League of the South (LOTS), an extreme racist, antisemitic, secessionist, pro-Confederace org that has since been sued more or less out of existence because of its role in organizing UTR. Rawson claims to have left LOTS ten years ago, but was a speaker at a conference of theirs in 2021 and received lots of support from LOTS members and assorted other neo-nazi and neo-fascist actors during his primary campaign.

Over the years, Rawson has used his social media accounts to advocate for capital punishment for gay men, defend slavery, and endorse lynching.

Needless to say, neither the state nor the national GOP orgs have stepped up to criticize or denounce their candidate.
