  1. Many of you may have heard of #swatting and considering how many #queer folks are on here I wouldn’t be surprised if someone seeing this has been a victim or know someone who has been a victim of such an attack. Here is a new tactic - using #CPS to inflict maximum pain to queer families. #PeteButtigieg and his family were targeted with a fake CPS report and led to him being separated from his 4 year old twins while the case was being evaluated (and children being interviewed in the absence of parents). This is a horrific new tactic and I hope queer families learn about this so they are not caught flat-footed. Unfortunate post but important, I hope this seen by queer families like mine.

  3. The Jeweller Karl Krall -- Otto Dix -- 1923 -- Oil on canvas -- Kunst und Museumsverien im Von der Heydt-Museum, Wuppertal.

According to the 2006 exhibition catalogue "Glitter and Doom: German Portraits from the 1920s", Krall was not only, as a chamber music amateur, musical, but was also "musical", to use the term used in 1920s British English to describe gay men.

The catalogue entry suggests that beneath Krall's jacket, "there must be a corset that is much too tight. Severe discomfort makes the blood rush to Krall's face, turning it purple-red with bluish accents. Veins on his forehead seem ready to pop."

As with so many of the other portraits, I find myself fascinated by this picture. Is Dix's depiction of the hour glass figured jeweller a frank depiction of Krall's style in foundation garments, or does it function as the painter's possibly contemptuous verdict on male homosexuality?

  8. #Xenophobia, #racism and #ethnic #religious #Nationalism are mental diseases. They deserve treatment. #Homophobia and the idea you can force everyone to act heterosexually to have kids to be able to cut #SocialSecurity is a #mentaldisorder, too. Sadly so many have this cancer

  9. #heterosexuals use #mind #control to recruit their #children

    how do they #scare #people #straight? #threaten #rejection from #family and #society, justify #hate in the name of #god, spread #myths about #perverts and #molesters, incite fear about #disease, spread #lies about #human #sexuality, threaten rejection from #work and #community, propagate lies about #sin, #publically #humiliate #queers, withhold #information about #sex, erase queers from #history, allow #homophobia on #television...

  10. #nonce is two separate nouns:

Nonce (1) means: The one or single occasion; the present reason or purpose.
(Etymology 1 is inherited from Middle English nonse, nones.)

Nonce (2, in Britain and Ireland) means: A sex offender, especially one who perpetrates against children.
(Etymology 2 is dated 1975, in British criminal slang.) French equivalent: #pointeur

  11. "If a young woman does not follow the social injunction to have feelings in a sexual relationship, she knows that she risks being called to order, being punished. Or to feel shame or guilt. This burden of the social norm is primarily internalised."

"There is, in all circles, the threatening 'spectre of the faggot'. The determination to appear as 'a man, a real man' and secure one's masculinity, while escaping suspicion of homosexuality, which is considered demeaning and dangerous. Some gay boys from privileged backgrounds have told me that they were in a relationship with a girl at school to give the impression, to cover their tracks."
