The #Starmer govt's plan to exclude #trans people from public spaces in the #UK is a Code Of Practice drafted by #EHRC, the UK's transphobic #EqualtiesCommission.
The CoP is implemented as a #StatutoryInstrument (SI) "made negative". So it becomes law without debate or vote, unless stopped by a near-impossible procedure. The Lords last blocked a made-negative SI in 2000; the Commons in 1979.

Ah those reasonable concerns again. None of the ideological; transphobes running this campaign are unaware of the reality. It is just more important to stop #trans people existing. So alliances with anti-abortion creeps is fine: "We can always get abortion back" (going well so far).And #Labour have either wilfully or tactically accepted that the hate groups and their shills in the media speak for women in general (patently untrue as we know).

Trans allies: The outpouring of support and offers to accompany folks to the toilet is humbling and heartwarming. As is the letter writing to MP's and talking to employers.
There is something else I would be eternally grateful if you could do for our community...
Wear a trans #pride pin or patch in your day to day life.
One of the biggest issues our community faces is numbers. We aren't a large part of the population. The chance of a trans person being visible to most people is incredibly low, even when they walk by us every day. That makes it easy to ignore and isolate us.
Project Chaff is a plan to create as many false positives as physically possible. If a cis person is challenged and ejected from a space for being trans they appear to have a #discrimination case under the current EHRC draft guidance. False positives make it very dangerous for service providers to enforce segregation policies.You also share in our vulnerability in public spaces. You open yourself up to #transphobia and an accompanying verbal or physical assault. This puts you in potential danger and requires courage, the same courage we muster every time we leave the house. Please walk beside us and face hate crime alongside us. A cis person facing transphobic hate crime makes a bigger statement.
If this is a risk you can't take I understand. If you can shoulder part of our burden though, please, please do.
