Mohammad Abbasi, one of the rioters of January 8-9 was executed in Qazal-Hesar prison earlier this week.
Abbas was accused of organizing and leading a group of young people, including his 25yo daughter to attack a police station that led to murder of Colonel Shahin Dehghani with multiple knife attacks and looting of the police station.
His crimes were "rioting by the order of US and Israel and destruction of property of individuals and government buildings as well as looting government buildings, including a police station.
He is the 14th person killed by IRI since the bloody riots across Iran on January 8th and 9th. The riots led to over 3000 deaths, mostly rioters but also 500+ police and security forces (government numbers).
Opposition groups claim the numbers were 80k, 60k, 55k or 42k that Trump and US officials repeatedly mention.

Latest Death Penalty report

We are pleased to attach the latest report for mid-April to mid-May thanks to group member Lesley for the work in compiling it. It contains details of the penalty around the world including a massive number of executions in Iran and how Saudi has executed large numbers in recent years. Singapore is mentioned with its policy of executing individuals involved in the drugs trade. Florida continues to feature with the Governor signing warrants for executions.
Israel’s proposals to re-introduce the penalty and to hold public trials for those held following the 7th October massacre is discussed and the responses to the change from countries around the world. Israel seems to be sliding ever backwards with its genocide, apartheid, violence and now the reintroduction of the death penalty last used on Adolph Eichmann.
As ever, we have to note that China is thought to be the world’s largest executioner but details are a state secret. There is a disturbing report from Australia however with some details but there is a warning about its content.

Israel's Knesset unanimously passed a death penalty law for Palestinians found guilty of genocide in the October 7, 2023, attacks on the country. Lawmakers on Monday voted 93-0 for the legislation, which also establishes a special military court to try about 300 suspects who were alleged to have been involved and were detained by security forces inside Israel. More than a fifth of Knesset Members either abstained or were absent for the vote.

Israel's Knesset unanimously passed a death penalty law for Palestinians found guilty of genocide in the October 7, 2023, attacks on the country. Lawmakers on Monday voted 93-0 for the legislation, which also establishes a special military court to try about 300 suspects who were alleged to have been involved and were detained by security forces inside Israel.
