BTBD takes place on the first Saturday of every month at Oilcan Harry’s, Austin’s oldest gay bar, and is hosted and created by one of Austin’s most well-known drag artists.
Brigitte Bandit became famous for her advocacy and activism, including testifying against state bills that have attempted to ban drag — and then she joined a lawsuit against one such law. Generación de sueños de cumbia: Legado de la feminidad junto a House of Gad
Centro Cultural Casa de Vacas, sábado, 23 de mayo, 19:00 CEST
Te invitamos a formar parte de una activación que conecta la cumbia, como género musical popular latinoamericano, con la construcción de identidades queer.
A través de la música, la performatividad y elementos del universo drag como pelucas, vestuario y caracterización, explorarás cómo se construyen imaginarios de feminidad, estéticas maximalistas de los años 90 y 2000, y referentes disidentes dentro de la cultura musical.
La propuesta combina showcases contextualizados de la House of Gad con un espacio participativo de experimentación y reflexión colectiva. La cumbia se convierte aquí en un vehículo de memoria, resistencia y expresión identitaria.
Un espacio seguro para la expresión corporal, pensado para fortalecer redes y crear comunidad entre personas LGTBIQA+ racializadas y/o migrantes.
Esta actividad es una iniciativa que realizamos junto a P.O.M Condeduque, un proyecto desarrollado por Pedagogías Invisibles.Actividad recomendada para mayores de 14 años.
Biografía
House of Gad es una casa drag creada en 2021 en Madrid por la artista peruana Gad Yola (Perú, 1995), a partir de la pieza El drag es marrón, desarrollada junto a Nela Kino (Bolivia, 1995), Brendalucia (Perú, 1997) y Nativa la Reina Mexicana (México, 1982) en el marco de la residencia FelipaManuela. En 2023 se incorporan Galinda Galán (Bolivia, 1998), Bella Raymi (Perú, 2000) y Perricholi (Perú, ¡1999) con la pieza Tengo una idea! presentada en CentroCentro. En 2024 participa Jey Jey (Ecuador, 1994) en el Festival de Cine Peruano en Madrid, y en 2025 se suman Azul Celeste (México, 1993), Euphoria Magnética (Argentina, 1988) y Paul Inaluma (1995) con un workshop drag en Contemporánea Condeduque Madrid. La House desarrolla una metodología y un activismo intercultural, antirracista y decolonial, conectando a artistas en la diáspora a través de la disidencia queer y el fortalecimiento de redes migrantes. Su trabajo reimagina lo marrón como potencia política y afectiva, impulsando formas sostenibles de creación artística colectiva.

Te invitamos a formar parte de una activación que conecta la cumbia, como género musical popular latinoamericano, con la construcción de identidades queer.
A través de la música, la performatividad y elementos del universo drag como pelucas, vestuario y caracterización, explorarás cómo se construyen imaginarios de feminidad, estéticas maximalistas de los años 90 y 2000, y referentes disidentes dentro de la cultura musical.
La propuesta combina showcases contextualizados de la House of Gad con un espacio participativo de experimentación y reflexión colectiva. La cumbia se convierte aquí en un vehículo de memoria, resistencia y expresión identitaria.
Un espacio seguro para la expresión corporal, pensado para fortalecer redes y crear comunidad entre personas LGTBIQA+ racializadas y/o migrantes.
Esta actividad es una iniciativa que realizamos junto a P.O.M Condeduque, un proyecto desarrollado por Pedagogías Invisibles.Actividad recomendada para mayores de 14 años.
Biografía
House of Gad es una casa drag creada en 2021 en Madrid por la artista peruana Gad Yola (Perú, 1995), a partir de la pieza El drag es marrón, desarrollada junto a Nela Kino (Bolivia, 1995), Brendalucia (Perú, 1997) y Nativa la Reina Mexicana (México, 1982) en el marco de la residencia FelipaManuela. En 2023 se incorporan Galinda Galán (Bolivia, 1998), Bella Raymi (Perú, 2000) y Perricholi (Perú, ¡1999) con la pieza Tengo una idea! presentada en CentroCentro. En 2024 participa Jey Jey (Ecuador, 1994) en el Festival de Cine Peruano en Madrid, y en 2025 se suman Azul Celeste (México, 1993), Euphoria Magnética (Argentina, 1988) y Paul Inaluma (1995) con un workshop drag en Contemporánea Condeduque Madrid. La House desarrolla una metodología y un activismo intercultural, antirracista y decolonial, conectando a artistas en la diáspora a través de la disidencia queer y el fortalecimiento de redes migrantes. Su trabajo reimagina lo marrón como potencia política y afectiva, impulsando formas sostenibles de creación artística colectiva.
