There isn’t an inherent right or necessity of allowance for a #conservative position, or any position.

Back during the #Iraq War, a #Conservative friend tried to tell me the oil companies were not getting rich from the soaring cost of #oil.I ACTUALLY had to explain to him that "it doesn't cost them more to pump it out of the ground or refine it into gasoline." When the price of gas goes up, it's almost pure profit.
The week before the invasion of Iraq, oil was $23/barrel. It never came CLOSE to that ever again. Once they know what you'll pay, there's no incentive to cut the price.
