There's a really cool party in Nov I want to go to. In town, of course. Tickets dirt-cheap. Ends at midnight.
There's buses that go after midnight, but they drop you at the station/park and ride where I wouldn't be able to get a bus anywhere else until dawn.

Despite the patchy weather, my love and I enjoyed a wonderful walk (a very small section of the #TeAraroaTrail) through Okura Bush at #KarepiroBay this morning. With part of the trail closed due to kauri dieback, we made Dacre Cottage (Auckland's second oldest building apparently - https://www.dacre.org.nz/) our halfway point before doubling back just ahead of a rising tide.

I almost had a day like that today. There weren't any "religion students" cornering me near the Ferry Building, and there wasn't the lady at the bus station that tries to trick people into signing a fake petition. Yay.
I thought I would make it until this lady sprung out of a dark recess near the station and asked me "Ma'am, have you tried meditation".
Oh goddamnit.

Rode the city rail link today. Underground platforms are very 2001: A Space Odyssey. I didn't see any of the art they were fêting on RNZ (I did take the lifts though). Shared a train carriage with Len Brown at one point. I think he was showing it to someone.
Conclusion? I'm whelmed.
Feel bad for the AT guides who had to deal with people like me who were really, really confused by the route changes though.

Great to see Auckland's City Rail Link open, with trains running through it under the CBD. Will be a big improvement to public transport there.
