@ChrisMayLA6 The #deregulation of the #financial #markets on both sides of the #Atlantic led directly to the #global financial #crash of 2007-8, & the #political nostrums of the #Tory #governments from 2010-24 led to reduced real #social #spending & greater #poverty & #inequality here in the #UK, with diminished #average #life #expectancy as a result. These are FACTS - & they favour the #Left!

There are still quite a lot of people who think that whatever an authority, such as the government, says is accepted as true. Argumentum ad verecundiam or appeal to authority. Thankfully I'm not like that, especially since I'm knowledgeable and well educated.
