She had a large following.
Her skills were still developing.Then she got an airplane too big for her breaches. Did not have enough hours and traing and the expected happened.
Upon post-mortem #aviation experts found many issues in what she was doing when she crashed.
There is a saying, I often quote in a different context...

Just because an influencer says something, doesn’t mean it is fact or even a good thing. The job of an “influencer” is to influence your mind and make money doing it. It’s never about making your life better.

El costo de la aprobación digital
La búsqueda constante de atención en las plataformas comerciales de internet ha llevado a que muchas personas realicen espectáculos lamentables con el único fin de inflar sus métricas de interacción. En los últimos meses hemos visto cómo se replican dinámicas donde creadores de contenido fingen situaciones de peligro, exageran tragedias personales o se involucran en retos absurdos que ponen en riesgo su integridad física o la de terceros. Estas acciones no responden a un deseo genuino de comunicar o de aportar algo valioso a la comunidad, sino a la dependencia total de los algoritmos diseñados para premiar el escándalo y la inmediatez por encima de la decencia común.
El problema de fondo radica en la estructura económica de estas redes privativas, las cuales convierten el tiempo de pantalla y la reacción emocional de la audiencia en un negocio altamente rentable para las corporaciones tecnológicas. Cuando la valía de un mensaje se mide únicamente por la cantidad de clics, corazones y comentarios acumulados en pocas horas, el sentido del ridículo desaparece y se normaliza la degradación de la conducta pública. Es indispensable que analicemos de forma crítica el tipo de contenido al que le otorgamos nuestra atención, pues al interactuar con ese tipo de espectáculos vacíos terminamos financiando y validando un sistema que prioriza el enganche artificial sobre la dignidad y la inteligencia de los usuarios.

I've written a blog post about influencers, parasocial dynamics, and social media. I look at the way most social media props up monolithic, hugely influential accounts with millions of followers, and punishing anyone who isn't reaching for maximum engagement. I compare this to the way that the Social Web operates, where we end up with accounts that aren't nearly as parasocial, and where much more people feel comfortable contributing to the conversation.
