  5. Our First Anniversary Brings a Narrowed Focus for Weekly TPFs

Tightening up the ship After a year of publishing The Fulcrum, I (as publisher) now know the topics, tools, and techniques I want to focus The Programmer's Fulcrum coverage on. And maybe it will have the side benefit of shorter TPF posts. We'll see if I can tighten up my discipline as well. ;) That narrowed focus is on tools and techniques that best meet the requirements of the Techno Anarchist Manifesto philosophy in regards to development for web and open social. 8. I'm going to try something. I am going to start writing on leaflet.pub as my main blog. 😅 Yes, it's on instead of the , but I think there is much to learn of such services and tools. It's also weirdly different enough that it deserves some attention. If it don't work out, I can always spin up and continue on. But still. I want try trying.

Here's the long winded reason why:

  10. Atmospheric water vapour drives many important weather phenomena such as precipitation and drought.
The atmosphere *can* hold about 7% more water for every 1 °C (1.8 °F) rise in temperature.
The model is that saturation vapour pressure increases approximately *exponentially* with temperature under typical atmospheric conditions.

Under humid conditions, the rate at which perspiration evaporates on the skin is lower than it would be under arid conditions. With a dew point at 20° C (70° F), almost everyone feels "sticky".
When the air above the dew point is cooled, its moisture capacity is reduced, and when the temperature passes below the dew point, water vapour will condense, or precipitate, to form liquid water.
The dew point increases by about 1°C for every 5% increase in relative humidity (the ratio of how much water vapour is in the air to how much water vapour the air can contain).
