Bedingungen 3.0 Deutschland zugänglich. ...Open-Source ist eine Antwort auf die stetig wachsende private Aneignung von Gemeingütern. Das Open-Source Prinzip wurde im Bereich der #Informatik entwickelt und
zeigt Wege auf, wie #Gemeingüter vor #Privatisierung geschützt werden können. Das vorliegende Papier geht der Frage nach, ob #OpenSource auch für #Saatgut und #Pflanzenzüchtung Anwendung finden kann, zeigt den gegenwärtigen Diskussionsstand auf und versucht den Faden weiter zu spinnen.
Wir beginnen mit der Beschreibung der Problemsituation, stellen dann das Konzept der Gemeingüter, der #Commons, vor und begründen, warum es für die #Pflanzenzüchtung und ihre zukünftige Gestaltung eine gewinnbringende Sichtweise ist. In einem weiteren Schritt stellen wir die wichtigsten Akteure mit ihren unterschiedlichen Interessen am #Saatgut vor.Im vierten Kapitel werden dann #rechtlicheRahmenbedingungen und konkrete #Initiativen diskutiert, die den Zugang zu Saatgut frei von Eigentumsrechten entweder fördern oder hemmen. Die detaillierte Beschreibung des Open-Source Prinzips
und Möglichkeiten seiner Absicherung durch #Lizenzen und Materialübertragungsver-
einbarungen werden im Kapitel 5 dargestellt.In Kapitel 6 wird der Frage der #Finanzierung von Open-Source Züchtung nachgegangen, da die über #Sortenschutz und #Patente anfallenden Lizenzeinnahmen für Open-Source Saatgut nicht mehr vorhanden sind.
Kapitel 7 schließlich widmet sich der Frage wie eine derartige Pflanzenzüchtung institutionell in #Deutschland umgesetzt werden könnte.Kapitel 8 fasst die Ergebnisse in einem Fazit zusammen.
