  6. @[email protected] I once had a job in what was the first ‘DTP bureau’ which was set up like a photocopy shop (it actually did have a photocopy side to it, big machine, I didn’t get involved with that) it had a bunch of the very early Mac 512K + external floppy drives, and we had the first Apple LaserWriter and we’d charge for printouts etc.

    One day a chap came in with some blueprints and rolled them out on the counter and asked if we could print them out or scan them or copy them or something I forget, but it was essentially circuit diagrams, I looked at it and said “that’s a midi guitar” and he immediately clammed up rolled them up and went out of the shop. It was the Stepp DG-1 prototype circuit, I was later to realise.
