#posteo kann jetzt auch #passkeys. Dies ist sicher ein Schritt in die richtige Richtung.

Allerdings klappt die Registrierung noch nicht mit #Firefox, weder mit #yubikey noch #keepassxc. Das ist frustrierend, aber wer mit dieser Technologie hantiert, ist Frust wohl gewohnt. Kinderschuhe überall...

Was aber klappt, ist die Registrierung von yubikey unter #Chromium. Wenn man das gemacht hat, klappt auch der Login unter Firefox.

Die Begründung erscheint mir noch nicht so 100% motiviert:

I got #HomeAssistant up and running on a #raspberrypi. I probably won't do anything advanced with it but it feels nice to get rid of the Philips hub and the Ikea hub. I started looking into running #vaultwarden locally only but apparently it still requires https and self-signed certificates and I'm not ready to learn all that. Maybe I'll switch to #keepassxc and manually sync pc and phone 🤔

I wish #KeepassXC had #LUKS 2 like slot based encryption so you could have a #fido2 with pin in a slot to easy acces while having a password file for recovery etc.

also i wish it had proper #fido2 #hmac extension based unlock instead of current security key support so you could use auto deletion on failed attempts and use a pin with low entropy safely and do user verification on high end security keys

Migrated to @keepassxc and @kunzisoft months ago, everything works on all my devices. Barely a blip to my password workflow habits.

Ich hätte schon viel früher #TOTP​s direkt in #KeePassXC einpflegen sollen, statt mit #Aegis auf Android zu hantieren. Einfach dann Kontextmenü auf einen Eintrag, "TOTP kopieren" und fertig.

Ihr könnt vorhandene Codes in Aegis über deren Eigenschaften → "Fortgeschritten" einfach als Schlüssel kopieren und den direkt im ersten Feld "Geheimer Schlüssel" der TOTP-Einrichtung für einen Zugang in KeepassXC konfigurieren, braucht keine weiteren Anpassungen.

So I'm investigating #PasswordSafe (pwsafe.org) and its ecosystem as a potential replacement for #KeePassXC, and of course the first thing I do is submit a shared-mime-info db patch for their file formats. Nerd.

+ pretty slick own browser integration, though I sometimes don't understand why it won't match the website URL
+ more attention to tagging

In light of the recent ProtonMail fiasco, I've decided to move to @fastmail because I really just need a Gmail replacement. Since I have my own domain it's been super painless. I also migrated from Proton Pass/Auth and onto @keepassxc / Strongbox. All my passwords and TOTPs transferred right over. I set up PGP keys in Thunderbird if I need to send any encrypted mail. I tried Tuta but it was... clunky to say the least.
