@selea @carapace i’m a huge fan of #SOVOL lately; they’re actually doing open source #3DPrinters correctly.

I have their SV08, which is a 3D printer hacker’s dream rig: everything on it works well enough, right out of the box, and most everything in the box is compatible with many of the Voron 2.4 modifications out there. https://www.sovol3d.com/products/sovol-sv08-3d-printer

The Sovol Zero is their take on the Voron 0.2 - I haven’t played with one of those but they seem to be well received by the community too. https://www.sovol3d.com/products/sovol-zero-3d-printer

I do however understand that a hackable printer may not be the ideal choice for a #hackerspace: there’s a lot of temptation to modify such a machine, and machine mods in a hackerspace often mean machines that just don’t work anymore, with a bonus side effect of members being angry with one another.

Two buttons cycle through work, camera, and fireworks modes. The highlight: an automatic progress bar animation every 30 seconds while printing. 🦀️ Curso de Rust para Iniciantes

Laboratório Hacker de Campinas, terça-feira, 26 de maio às 19:30 BRT

Se sempre teve curiosidade para aprender a linguagem de programação Rust, essa é a oportunidade que faltava!

Vamos seguir o curso "Rust Abrangente" do Google, mas ao invés de seguí-lo na cadência original -- dois períodos por dia, divididos em 10 dias -- iremos fazer 20 encontros semanais.

A participação é gratuita, mas requer que quem participe faça os exercícios em casa. Durante os encontros, iremos falar um pouco sobre a teoria, tirar dúvidas, e compartillhar nossas soluções para os exercícios. Os encontros serão presenciais no LHC e não teremos opção para participação remota.

Os participantes devem instalar o Rust em seus computadores. Um jeito fácil de fazê-lo é usando o Rustup.
