Bei diesem Schlagwort drängt sich zunächst ein Hinweis auf den italienischen Zweig des Epstein-Netzwerkes auf, der dort derzeit kriminalistisch aufgearbeitet werden muss. Michael Braun/taz: “Ruby-Affäre in Italien: Lügen und Sexpartys in Uruguay – Nicole Minetti organisierte ‘Abendessen’ für Berlusconi und veruntreute Steuergelder. Zunächst wurde sie begnadigt. Doch nun kommen neue Details ans Licht.”
Legitime Vorfahren von Trump und Epstein
Die Aufmachung durch die taz weist treffend darauf hin, dass das gesellschaftspolitische Phänomen “Epstein” schon lange zuvor unter der Bezeichnung “Berlusconi” relevant war. Berlusconi als legitimer Mafia-Vorfahre der Figur Trump. Alle nur Repräsentanten, Figuren, Agenten, Angestellte eines toxischen Herrschaftssystems.
Wie soll es weitergehen?
Dazu gibt es recht konkrete Vorstellungen. Nachdem ich kürzlich hier schon auf das von Peter Thiel inspirierte Karp/Palantir-Manifest hingewiesen hatte, erschien jetzt bei der WAZ paywallfrei diese lesenswerte Kritik
Dirk Hautkapp: “Palantir: Tech-CEO verfällt in Größenwahn – und schreibt schräges Manifest – Washington. Alex Karps Manifest ist die Blaupause für eine postdemokratische Ordnung. Ein Datenkonzern als Vormund des Staates? Nein, danke!”
Es entbehrt nicht einer gewissen sarkastischen Komik, dass von Washington aus auf das Handeln deutscher Bundesländer hingewiesen werden muss. Die kluge Formulierung “Das klingt nach Verantwortung, ist aber eine Selbstermächtigung. Nicht gewählte Institutionen definieren hier den öffentlichen Auftrag, sondern private Akteure.” liesse sich auch auf deutsche Unternehmer- und Verleger*innen-Einlassungen anwenden. Das setzt sich in dieser umständlichen Formulierung fort (hier wurde mal wieder sichtbar am Lektorat in der Redaktion gespart): “Demokratie erscheint hier nicht mehr als Verfahren des mühseligen Ausgleichs von Interessen, sondern als Legitimation für die Durchsetzung, die Geld und Macht besitzen.” Das trifft nicht nur aufs Silicon Valley, sondern auch auf den Ruhrpott zu. “Ökonomisches Interesse und politische Forderung gehen eine Symbiose ein.” Geht doch 😉
Berliner Dämmerung
Soweit Kluges aus Washington. Und bei uns dämmert die nächste Bundesregierung hinweg? Meint nicht nur Küppi. Die WAZ hat in Unna SPD-Fraktionschef Miersch belauschen lassen, von dem manche meinen, ihn als Linken zu erinnern, ebenfalls paywallfrei:
Jonas Stein: “Miersch attackiert Merz: ‘So kann man eigentlich kein Kanzleramt führen’ – Unna. SPD-Fraktionschef Matthias Miersch stellt die Kanzlertauglichkeit von Friedrich Merz infrage und spricht offen über Koalitionsprobleme.”
Ungläubig werde ich, wo der WAZ-Autor Miersch-Zitate aus der Rheinischen Post, der Konzernmutter des Bonner General-Anzeigers, die gewöhmlich fast alles digital vermauert, liefert. Lesen Sie mal das: “‘Dass es mal ruckelt, gehört dazu.’ Mit seinem Unions-Kollegen Jens Spahn (CDU) ringe er ‘in der Sache auch sehr hart’, aber sie hätten sich im Laufe des vergangenen Jahres ‘eine feste Vertrauensbasis aufgebaut. Die ist sehr stabil’. Miersch betonte, die Koalition habe einiges auf den Weg gebracht, vom 500-Milliarden-Euro-Sondervermögen über das Wehrdienstgesetz bis hin zur gemeinsamen Asylpolitik. ‘Jetzt gehen wir große Reformen an, die vorherige Regierungen nicht geschafft haben.'”
Immerhin sind die Umfragewerte der SPD damit hinreichend erklärt.
