Delcy Rodríguez anuncia la llegada de más empresas petroleras a Venezuela «en las próximas semanas»

Caracas.- La presidente encargada de Venezuela, Delcy Rodríguez, anunció este miércoles que, en «las próximas semanas», más empresas del sector de los hidrocarburos llegarán a su país, que se ha abierto a la inversión privada y extranjera en medio de los acercamientos con Estados Unidos.

«En las próximas semanas, con mayor celeridad, van a llegar más y más empresas a Venezuela, y ustedes, que son trabajadores de la Faja (Petrolífera del Orinoco), lo van a ver con sus ojos», expresó la mandataria en un acto en el estado petrolero de Anzoátegui (este) transmitido por el canal estatal VTV.

La Faja del Orinoco es una zona que se extiende por el este del país y que contiene las mayores reservas probadas de crudo en el mundo.

Rodríguez no dio detalles sobre las empresas, las operaciones ni cuándo tienen previsto llegar a la nación suramericana, pero aseguró que su país vive un proceso de captación de inversiones nacionales y extranjeras.

La nueva realidad del sector petrolero de Venezuela

La líder chavista, quien asumió como presidenta encargada tras la captura de Nicolás Maduro el pasado enero en Caracas por parte de EU, afirmó que la industria petrolera venezolana «se ha forjado con sacrificio» y «ha superado dificultades» en medio del «bloqueo económico».

Por otra parte, anunció la creación de un consejo académico superior de los hidrocarburos para «dar un gran impulso a la profesionalización y a la preparación» de los trabajadores petroleros.

En un acto previo, Rodríguez instó a EU. y a Europa, entre otros, a que «no le tengan miedo a una Venezuela libre de sanciones», medidas que Washington ha flexibilizado en los últimos meses de acercamientos y reanudación de relaciones con Caracas.

Tras la captura de Maduro, el presidente estadounidense, Donald Trump, ha estado instando a las compañías energéticas de su país a invertir en Venezuela.

La petrolera ExxonMobil, la mayor de hidrocarburos de EU. y una de las mayores energéticas del mundo, está en negociaciones para adquirir derechos de extracción de crudo en Venezuela, según adelantó recientemente el diario The New York Times.

Citando fuentes familiarizadas con la situación, el rotativo aseguró que el acuerdo puede ser anunciado a finales de este mes y permitiría a Exxon produc r petróleo en seis yacimientos. –sn–
