I've spotted it about five times over the past month, generally around 9/9:30pm.
Raccoon spotters would be advised to check the western 1/3 of the Greenway, if that is their desire.

Here in #Minneapolis, I simply won't vote for a candidate who doesn't support walking, biking, and public transportation. It's in the candidate's best interest to communicate their vision to voters - and hosting a bike ride is a great way to do it. Likewise, it's often in the cycling community's interest to attend to demonstrate that there is a coalition supporting these initiatives.
We have a local publication which does video-interviews with candidates during a bike ride. The candidate generally picks the route, and can talk about their vision for the city, about infrastructure improvements, etc. Some candidates have taken the opportunity to show off their preferred form of micromobility, including walking tours, roller blades, and a park board candidate who was interviewed on a sail boat. One city council candidate who doesn't ride bikes was interviewed while riding in the basket of a cargo bike. Yet another candidate hosted a DJ ride to raise awareness of their campaign.
Organized rides are also a powerful tool for advocacy groups.
Our Streets organized a ride to attend a MnDOT feedback session. MnDOT was not prepared for that number of people to attend...
Advocacy groups could also organize a bike audit and invite politicians, city planners/staff, the media, etc. to draw attention to unsafe streets.

That’s true whether these mobile devices are remote controlled by a person or autonomously controlled by artificial intelligence, and whether the weapons are maximally lethal (like bullets) or less lethal (like tear gas). "Police currently deploy many different kinds of moving and task-performing technologies. These include flying drones, remote control bomb-defusing robots, and autonomous patrol robots. While these different devices serve different functions and operate differently, none of them--absolutely none of them--should be armed with any kind of weapon.
"Mission creep is very real. Time and time again, technologies given to police to use only in the most extreme circumstances make their way onto streets during protests or to respond to petty crime. For example, cell site simulators (often called ' #Stingrays ') were developed for use in foreign battlefields, brought home in the name of fighting 'terrorism,' then used by law enforcement to catch immigrants and a man who stole $57 worth of food. Likewise, police have targeted #BLM #protesters with #FaceSurveillance and #AmazonRing doorbell cameras.
"Today, scientists are developing an #AI enhanced #AutonomousDrone, designed to find people during natural disasters by locating their screams. How long until police use this technology to find protesters shouting chants? What if these autonomous drones were armed? We need a clear red line now: no armed police drones, period.

It seems a bit cheap to call what Husker Du did “punk”.
It was always so much more than that.None of their contemporaries were doing what they were doing at the level they were doing it at.
The fury, yes.
But also the melodies, the songwriting, the absolute surgeon-like skill from all three dudes on their instruments.
Not just ONE brilliant songwriter in Mould, but TWO of them, with Grant Hart as well.A desert island album for me, for sure, and probably the one I re-listen to the most on a year to year basis.

Elon #Musk wird dich nicht zum #Mars bringen, und keine der KI-Firmen arbeitet wirklich an einer allgemeinen künstlichen Intelligenz. Musks #Technologie scheint bestenfalls dazu zu dienen, das #Sonnensystem auszubeuten, und KI-Firmen bauen nur komplizierte, aber unintelligente Copy-Paste-Maschinen, die vorübergehend die gesamte #Weltwirtschaft am Laufen halten.
Bei allem, was gerade los ist (eine #Aktionswoche in #Minneapolis läuft, ein #Krieg gegen den #Iran droht, die #ICE verwüstet weiterhin Gemeinden, die #Ukraine geht in ihr fünftes Jahr der Abwehr der russischen #Invasion), scheint es seltsam, sich darauf zu konzentrieren, aber ich denke, es ist wichtig zu verstehen, dass Elon Musk dich nicht zum Mars bringen wird. Ich denke, das unterstreicht die Tatsache, dass die Menschen nur irgendwo auf dem Spektrum zwischen #Betrüger und #Tyrann liegen. Als mein Großvater in den Krieg zog, diente er im Pazifik auf der USS Scamp, einem U-Boot der Gato-Klasse. Die Gato-Klasse war das erste serienmäßig hergestellte U-Boot der US-Marine im Zweiten Weltkrieg. Weil die Marine beschloss, einen Landstreicher aus #Iowa aufs #College zu schicken, um Schiffbau zu lernen, überlebte mein Großvater den Krieg, die Scamp jedoch nicht. Ein paar Einsätze, nachdem er zur Schule gegangen war, ging die Scamp mit der gesamten Besatzung unter – zumindest nehmen wir das an, da ihre Überreste nie gefunden wurden.
Die Schuld des Überlebenden verfolgte meinen Großvater bis zu seinem Lebensende.
Ein U-Boot der Gato-Klasse wurde mit einer wasserdichten Trennwand in der Mitte des Maschinenraums gebaut, die die beiden Generatoren voneinander trennte, falls Wasser eindringen sollte. Ich will hier nicht extra die Vorzüge des US-#Militärs anpreisen, aber mein Großvater und Ingenieure wie er hätten uns vielleicht zum Mars bringen können (und Ingenieure seiner Generation haben uns zum Mond gebracht). Jedes Schiff, das mein Großvater entworfen hat, hat er persönlich getestet. Er ließ sich vom Kapitän in die schlimmsten Stürme fahren, die man sich vorstellen kann, und stand an Deck, um die Wellen und den Wind zu spüren und zu sehen, wie seine Konstruktion sich bewährte.
#Elon Musk würde so was nie machen, weil sein Unternehmen nicht auf Zuverlässigkeit ausgelegt ist. Es geht um #Kosteneffizienz. Der Hauptgrund, warum ich weiß, dass niemand ernsthaft daran interessiert ist, den Mars zu kolonisieren, ist, dass es schon Jahrzehnte her ist, seit jemand versucht hat, eine #Biosphäre zu schaffen – ein in sich geschlossenes künstliches #Ökosystem. Alle bisherigen Versuche sind gescheitert, und es scheint, als hätten die meisten Leute einfach aufgegeben. Solange wir nicht beweisen können, dass wir in autarken künstlichen Umgebungen leben können, können wir keine autarken Kolonien auf leblosen Planeten gründen.
Jedes Science-Fiction-Buch und jeder #ScienceFiction-Film nimmt diese spezielle Technologie als selbstverständlich hin, aber #Autarkie ist eines der größten ungelösten Probleme zwischen uns und der Expansion innerhalb des Sonnensystems. Ich nehme an, wir halten es für selbstverständlich, weil es von außen so einfach aussieht, aber wir wissen einfach nicht, wie wir es machen sollen.
Elon Musk versucht lediglich, Raketen kostengünstig zu bauen. Eine Zeit lang war ich verwirrt, warum so viele Starts von #SpaceX mit spektakulären, explosiven Fehlschlägen enden, während die #NASA seit Jahrzehnten Menschen auf dem #Mond landen kann. Dann unterhielt ich mich auf einer Messe mit einem betrunkenen #NASA-#Ingenieur, der mir erzählte, dass das einzige Ziel von SpaceX darin bestehe, herauszufinden, wie kostengünstig sie Raketen bauen können. Das große technologische Problem, das sie lösen wollen, ist: „Wie viel können wir weglassen?“ Sie fragen sich: „Was ist das absolute Minimum an funktionsfähigem Produkt?“
Es gibt alle möglichen dystopischen Anwendungen für solche Technologien. Wie zum Beispiel den Abbau von #Asteroiden, hoffentlich durch #Roboter, aber wahrscheinlich durch eine neue Klasse von #Leibeigenen. Aber das ist kein Weg, um sichere, zuverlässige Transportmöglichkeiten zu einem anderen Planeten zu schaffen. Es ist nur ein Weg, das Sonnensystem auszubeuten. Wenn man einer KI eine Frage stellt, auf die sie keine Antwort weiß, erfindet sie eine Antwort. Das heißt nicht, dass sie „lügt“, sondern dass das, was wir als KI bezeichnen, eigentlich nicht intelligent ist. Sie denkt nicht. Große Sprachmodelle sind nur ausgefallene Textvorhersagen, die die Erde austrocknen, die #Strompreise in die Höhe treiben und bald die gesamte #Weltwirtschaft zerstören werden.
Ich bin mit Star Trek aufgewachsen, wo die Charaktere einem Computer eine Frage in einfacher Sprache stellen können und eine Antwort bekommen. „Wie oft haben Menschen die folgenden Planeten besucht?“ oder „Vergleiche den folgenden Virus mit allen bekannten außerirdischen Kulturen, um seinen wahrscheinlichen Ursprung zu bestimmen.“ Der Computer lügt sie nie an, weil er auf Datenbanken zurückgreift und Daten analysiert.
Es ist eine subtilere Technologie als der Warp-Antrieb, der Teleporter, der Lebensmittelreplikator oder das Holodeck, aber der Bordcomputer ist in der Tat mächtig.
Und die Sache ist die: Wir sind davon genauso weit entfernt wie von künstlicher Schwerkraft. Denn LLMs sind eine Technologie, die grundsätzlich nicht in der Lage ist, künstliche Intelligenz zu erzeugen. Die einzigen Menschen, die halluzinieren, sind die Gläubigen an KI.
