I like to visit Medal Park during the summer just to hang around in the grass. I didn't get down there as much this year as I would have liked. That feels like most things that I plan out in the spring and eventually don't get to by the end of summer.

This is one of my favorite sitting spots in the city. There is a good view of the Mississippi River on one side and d…

  6. OK team #GetFediHired anyone knows of remote US or hybrid #Minneapolis area opportunities for a skilled backend dev with experience in Java, Typescript, and Go, distributed systems, and a path towards software architecture? I am lucky enough to have stable employment but for historical reasons I am being paid way below the going rate for the work that I do, and that needs to change. Teammates love me, I am obsessed with learning new things, and the best compliment I got at work was when I accepted a role on a team with a totally new-to-me stack, and the architect who hired me said "I know you well enough to know that you'll pick it up quickly and won't need hand-holding."

So yeah, my experience is chiefly in the back end, a little front end, interested in hearing about pretty much any kind of IT work, but aside from the stuff I'm already experienced in I'm especially interested in learning about embedded, high performance things like databases, ops, etc etc.

    Boosts welcome

  7. For the Past month I worked with the author Julian Ferris on his first Book “Apply Direct Pressure”
It is a fictionalised point of view story of the real history currently shaping #Minneapolis and a manual on what options we have to stay strong with what little we have; each other.

I highly recommend reading it because the novel is *free*! Read it, Share it, Talk about it. Protect yourself and your community

  12. If you're in the #Minneapolis area right now, do yourself a favor: go outside. Right now. It's gorgeous, and we don't know the next time DHS will stop us from enjoying our streets.
